Chapter 444
Mack’s p.o.v.

Commander hates the thought of his Mate going anywhere near a Rogue, but Largo points out that she has taken care of herself for years and it calms Commander down enough to not alert Maleah.

Neither one of us wants her to get distracted from the task ahead of her and we place ourselves against the wall outside the interrogation room the Rogue is in, he looks like shit from all the beatings he has already received so far.

I watch as she pulls daggers in different sizes from her bag, some small push daggers follow quickly and I even see her pulling a few bottles of liquid out of the bag. Watching her inflict injury upon injury to the Rogue makes me glad that she is on our side, I hate to think about what could happen if she were against us and I see Commander hiding his head under his paws in the back of my head.

I don’t have to step back when she asks us to, but even from my spot I can smell the stench coming from the bottle.

Whatever that liquid is supposed to do isn’t bad enough for him to spill his guts, but she is able to get a few words out of him and when she applies another liquid to his body I hear him scream for the first time.

The screams get worse the more liquid she smears on his arm, but he refuses to say another word until she moves towards his other arm and we finally get some answers from him. Not the kind I had expected, but useful information none the less.

Maleah releases the lock on the chains and lowers them enough for the Rogue to stand on his feet again.

“She must be worried sick about me.” He mumbles as he tries to stretch a little.

“I will have a talk with our Alphas, I am not going to give you any guarantees but I will make them understand you did the best you could.” Maleah says and I know she will do her best to keep him and his Mate safe, something I actually agree with.

“Tell your Alphas I am willing to give them every piece of information I have, but you also might want to mention to them that I have a small Pack of my own. I am not their Alpha, but that I will protect them at all costs and that they are the ones looking after the Pups I saved.” The Rogue says

Commander tells me to ask him for his name, “It is starting to annoy me to keep calling him Rogue, he didn’t ask for any of this and he has done the best he could.” He says.

“What is your name?” I ask him as I walk towards Maleah and I wonder why his name sounds so familiar, but I push it aside the moment I see that Maleah has packed up all of her tools. The two Warriors on duty step into the room before we can exit.

“Put him in a cell, give him some water and soap to clean himself up and make sure he gets a decent meal.” Maleah says and both of them look at her as if she has lost her mind, Kay stops me from interfering.

“No, Dominic. I just questioned Jason…” Dominic interrupts Maleah by holding up his hand and she knows exactly why he stopped her. “By the time I am done you will understand why I call him by his name, Dominic.

I am not finished questioning him just yet, but you needed to hear this before I can continue to question him and you might want to be present for that.” Maleah says and Delaney tries to get off of Dax’s lap, but he holds her tight.

“You are our Mate and that makes this also your business.” He says as Dominic sits down next to them, Dax gestures for Maleah to continue with her report. She tells them who approached Jason, she tells them what Jason has done over the years and finally she tells them how he became a Rogue.

“He warned his Mate about their future Alpha and she knocked him unconscious before he could forcefully mark her. She chose to stay with Jason and become a Rogue in the process. They saved as many Pups as possible and I want Jason to tell me where they are living, where he was to drop off these Pups.

I hope he is willing to give us all the information he gathered on Tamish and the others and I hope I can help him find a home for those Pups.” Maleah tells them as we all enjoy some coffee.

“His name is Jason Kraft.” She concludes and I see recognition in Dominic’s eyes at the name, so I ask him if he knows why that name sounds so familiar.
