Chapter 447
Maleah’s p.o.v.
I see Pauline arguing with some Warriors of my Pack and I shake my head when one of them makes the mistake of telling my best asset she can’t come along because she doesn’t belong to Blood Crescent Pack.
All four males are on their asses in seconds and Harvey is laughing his ass off while I calmly walk over to them, “My team is coming along, anyone that has a problem with that can stay home. I am in charge for this mission and again if you have a problem with that I suggest you stay home.” I say as I look around me.
Our trip to the caves last for almost two hours, two hours I spend in a blissful state and I wonder why the hell I can’t get enough of my Mates. I am leaning against Kay as I doze off from time to time, but the moment Levi says we are almost at our destination I am wide awake and Fortune pushes forward as I sit up straight.
She wants to see our surroundings as much as I do and she allows me to scan the area to find out if there might be a threat, but the only Wolves and Lycans I can sense are the ones with us and in the caves.
We pull to a stop in front of the caves and as we discussed everyone gets out of the vehicles but I am the only one that walks towards the entrance.
“Tasha, Jason send us.” I call out and wait to see if anyone is willing to see what is going on. It takes a few minutes before a male and very pregnant female walk out of the caves.
“Fuck, he could have told us that she is with Pup.” I growl through the mind-link.
“Tasha, the Pups Jason was supposed to get are safe. I doubt any of you knew to which Pack he was sent, but I can guarantee you that he is safe.” I tell them before I explain why we are there, but I can tell that Tasha doesn’t trust me.
I grab my phone to dial Dax’s number, but Tasha stops me when she asks who I am calling and I tell her that I will put Jason on the phone for her to confirm my story.
Dax is quick to answer his phone and without hesitating he hands it over to Jason, I slowly walk towards Tasha as I scold him for not telling me the whole truth.
The moment she sees Jason her knees buckle and I am glad the male is quick enough to catch her, it takes Jason a few minutes to convince her that the situation in front of her is real.
It takes us an hour to get everyone and everything out of the caves, but when we have everyone on the busses I hear Tasha sigh in relief.
Mack’s p.o.v.
Jason and Tasha made the best of a bad situation, but I have to hand it to them; the Pups seem happy and healthy. Maleah has taken charge of the entire operation and we, as her Mates, are just leaning back, doing what she tells us to do.
“We will go through the front door once everyone is in position. Let’s see if Caym is at the location and what kind of information we can get out of him.” She says as she walks back to our SUV, Pauline and Harvey follow us as we head to the location Jason gave us.
A rundown building comes into view as Levi turns right and I look confused when I see no guards around the premises, it doesn’t make sense to me.
Levi slams on the breaks the moment Maleah tells him to stop and she points up to a tree close to the road, looks like he is relying on cameras as a security measure. We quietly get out of the SUV and I slowly let the door close without it falling into its lock.
We keep an eye out for other cameras as we move closer to the building, Levi keeps an eye out for any other traps they might have placed and slowly but steadily we make our way to our target.
Maleah raises her hand to indicate that we should stop and we all follow her line of sight, one of her team is on the roof. He makes his way over to the left side of the building and I watch as he opens a skylight and lowers himself through it.
Maleah starts walking again towards the building and we just follow close behind her, keeping an eye out for cameras and other traps. Suddenly the front door swings open and Maleah’s team member steps out.
“Coast is clear, Caym is out for the count.” He says and from every side Wolves and Lycans approach the building, each of them holding a bundle of clothes in their mouth. After they have all shifted back and gotten dressed we walk into the building.
