Elyse is staring at the floor, when she asks; “How did you find out?”

I hand her Max’s journal, but she doesn’t open it. “I know what is inside, he always made sure to tell me what he wrote in it. I couldn’t tell any of you, because he gave me an Alpha order every single time. I am just sorry that I never tried to find a way around his command, than maybe it wouldn’t have come to this.

Max’s Pup deserves to be raised as an Alpha and I know he or she will never be able to take over this Pack, but that Pup isn’t at fault here. Lola and Max were, but I can’t allow you to punish an innocent Pup for the crimes of their parents.” Elyse says and before any of us can respond, Lola is in her face.

“I am going to raise this Pup, I will be this Pack’s Luna and my Pup will take over this Pack. My first task as Luna will be to banish you and those pathetic excuses, you call your Sons.” Lola growls at her and Delaney starts to laugh her ass off.

Everyone just stares at Delaney and Maleah is shaking her head slowly, “I don’t think Lola understands how this is supposed to work. I don’t think that her brain can comprehend something this big or she would have known that she can not take the Alpha title away from your Mates.” Maleah says and I can’t help but chuckle, when I see the dumbfounded look on Lola’s face.

“Max told me that our Pup would become the next heir to Blood Crescent Pack, he already made arrangements to have those Nitwits taken care of. It is just a matter of time.” Lola says and I hear Pauline hiccupping with laughter.

“Yeah, not happening. Max was an Idiot and if he hadn’t attacked his Luna, than I would have handed over the evidence your Alphas needed to take their own Father down. Not a smart idea to try and hire the Angel of Death.” Harvey says and we all look at him in shock.

“Max thought that Maleah had been kidding when she told you who she really is and when one of her male team-members showed up he was even more convinced. We just played him like the fool he was, he even made sure that we knew how he wanted the Angel of Death to take out his Sons.” He holds out a file to Dillon, but he is too stunned to take it from him.

I quickly read through the file and I am glad that Max is already dead or he would be killed this instant.

“You knew that Max wanted to kill his own Sons?” Maleah asks and we all look at Lola with a smug look on her face.

“Of course I knew, I suggested to make up some bull story about why his Sons needed to be dealt with. I was also the one to suggest the way the Angel of Death should deal with them.” Lola answers her and I think she can thank the Goddess for granting her a Pup or Maleah would have taken her head off.

Maleah opens the door to look at her team, “You will take turns guarding her cell, Doc is the only one allowed to see her and only once a day. One of you will be in the cell with her, make sure she doesn’t harm herself or the Pup.” Moments later six of them walk away from the room, while the other three step into the room.

“Let’s go, your cell awaits you. Lunatic.” One of them says with the emphasizes on Luna.

Lola tries to struggle, but one of the males is done with her behavior and tosses her over his shoulder. “I’ll be there in an hour.” Doc yells after them and then he closes the door. “When did your mark disappear, Elyse?” He asks.

Maleah chose every potion carefully, she went for the maximum amount of pain we could inflict and there was no telling who would die when. Another reason she chose these potions for our targets, because without knowing when they would die during the days of the Spring Ball, we all would have an alibi.

Lola has been in her cell, screaming and yelling at her guards. Somehow she still seems to think she is getting out of there to live a full life, but Dominic isn’t going to take a risk with her. Lola will be put to death, after she has given birth to her Daughter.

Yes, our Alphas are going to get a baby Sister and I already pity the fool that gets mated to her.

Right now, we are on the Alpha floor getting ready for the Spring Ball. Tonight we will have dinner at the Palace, followed by an opportunity to mingling afterwards in the Palace garden.

Tomorrow will be a day it would rather forget about, more mingling with other Wolves and Lycans and many will try to either get a chosen Mate out of it or an alliance. In the evening there will be a ball and I look forward to see our Mate in a dress of her own design.

“Everything is ready, Alphas. The teams will start to leave within half an hour, the first deaths will occur around dinner time.” Pauline says and after wishing us all luck at the Spring Ball, she walks out of the Alpha floor.

Let’s just hope that no one gives Maleah or Delaney a reason to explode. If anyone does, I will just sit back and enjoy the shitshow.
