Chapter 486
Levi’s p.o.v.

The first thing I ask Maleah when we start making this potion, is if it would be as bloody as the other two potions.

Mack and Kay had been oh so friendly to describe in detail what had happened to their targets and if this potion is anything like theirs I might pass on the assignment.

“No, my Love. We will be preparing a potion that won’t make a bloodbath, it won’t be any less painful though. I think it might be even more painful and I hope it will take a long time before he figures it out.” Maleah answers me.

She hands me the journal, opened on the page that describes what the potion will cause and how to prepare it.

Phaxakyde: a potion that will render it’s victim speechless and blind. The victim will feel as if every bone in his or her body breaks, one by one. Their Wolf or Lycan will try to heal the broken bone and cause his Human even more pain. Eventually the stress and pain will goes the victim to die, this will take several hours. No known antidote.

Phaxakyde: Take Prugther berries and crush them in a bowl. Add some dried, crushed Acicory and mix this with the Prugther berries. Add the Xicalax, stir until the berries and herbs are mixed thoroughly. Pour it in a small pan and boil slowly for thirty minutes. Empty the contents of the pan in a sieve, collect the liquid in a bottle.

“Okay, let’s get started.” I say as I place the journal on a small counter. We work next to one another without saying a word, the sparks igniting every time we accidentally brush arms.

I pour the liquid in a small bottle, while Maleah grabs the syringe we need to administer the Phaxakyde into our target’s body.

We leave shortly after dinner, our trip will take a few hours and most likely we will arrive there around midnight. Our target is without a Mate and he will not be in his own territory tonight, making this a little easier for us.

I look at the building in front of us, it is an apartment complex and there is a doorman out front. Inside is a lobby and there are three guards there, one of them keeps track of every visitor.

Maleah gets out of the SUV and walks to an alley on the left side of the building, the fire-escape is down when we get there. We slowly climb up to the fifth floor and enter the hallway through the window.

I follow Maleah to the end of the hallway and to my surprise the last door on our left is ajar. Maleah steps inside without hesitation and I follow her into the apartment. She steps on to the balcony and like last time she pulls herself up to the next balcony.

We get up to the ninth floor and she gestures for me to stop, a noise from the floor above reaches my ear at the same moment.

Chapter 486 2

For nearly three hours we watch as he goes through excruciating pain, than we decide it is time to go home. No one will miss him for a few days and by the time they do find him, the stress and pain will have killed him.

We leave the same way we entered this apartment and once we are near the SUV I pull Maleah into my arms, burying my nose in her neck to inhale her scent.

Chapter 486 3

Like every other time she came back from an assignment, she is asleep the moment her head hits the pillow and Mack pulls her closer to his side.

Kay follows me down the stairs to the kitchen and he asks me about my experience with our Mate.

“She is a very capable Assassin and everyone that crosses her is in deep shit. This potion wasn’t messy at all, but I think the pain might have been worse. I am just glad that I get to call her my Mate and not my Enemy.” I answer him.
