Bella said listlessly, "No, I'll sit this out. You guys go ahead."

She'd originally had the intention of going but couldn't bring herself to get into the mood at the thought of Clarice's disapproval of Jack.

Luna huffily put the tickets away and muttered, "Fine, then. I'll bring someone else."

In Dorm 502, Isaac and Ronnie were fiddling with a high-end DSLR camera worth thousands of dollars. Its lens extended like a cannon, and it came with a dedicated tripod. It looked incredibly professional.

Jack asked curiously, "What are you guys up to?"

Isaac said excitedly, "We're checking our professional photography gear. Joshua helped us get some tickets to the car exhibition—we heard there are going to be plenty of cars worth millions of dollars on display! Even the most popular car models are going to be there!"

Ronnie checked the camera seriously while Isaac occasionally reminded him to be careful. Samuel put down his book and looked at the gadget he would never be able to afford, feeling curious and envious. Joshua had given him a ticket to the car show; he wanted to see what this wholly different world was like.

Isaac turned to Jack. "Come with us, Jack! It'd be nice to look at the hot models even if we can't afford to buy anything."

Jack shook his head. "No, it's okay. I have other things to attend to over the next few days."

He was indeed going to be at the car exhibition, but he was going to be there to collect his car. He didn't want to run into his classmates there.

Isaac didn't force him. He and Ronnie continued fiddling with the camera.

The latter lay on her bed, looking listless. "Yeah. You guys go ahead."

She held a cushion that was part of a matching set with Jack's—they'd bought it together. She felt rather downtrodden.

The dinner with Clarice was that night, and Bella was worried Clarice's comments of Jack would affect their relationship. She also had no faith in making Clarice accept Jack. This had been troubling her for the past few days, making her sleep restless.

She called Jack and asked, "What are you doing, Big Bun? Do you want to have lunch together? You're at the car exhibition? Alright, then… No, I don't want to go. I need to study."

After hanging up, Bella angrily pummeled the cushion while muttering, "Stupid Big Bun! Why aren't you spending time with me? Take this! And this!"
