Chapter 232

They did not notice John, Jessica, and the hoards of bodyguards in black behind them.

They had originally planned to come to the amusement park today.

The plan was to bring Richard along, but Cordy took him away at the last minute, so the two of them went along with the original plan and came here. To their surprise, they saw Cordy and Richard.

Jessica’s eyes shifted.

Richard never liked getting close to others since he was young, and he had never been a lively kid. Instead, he had a maturity that was beyond his years.

Yet, he was completely different in front of Cordy.

Jessica turned to look at John and saw how he kept his eyes on the two of them right in front until they were engulfed by the crowds.

“Let’s go.” John retracted his gaze and looked plainly at Jessica.

A faint smile remained on Jessica’s lips as she walked by John’s side.

Aside from the bodyguards surrounding them, there were also reporters deliberately planted around them.

They were there to provide real-time updates and reports on their whereabouts.

“What would you like to ride on?” John asked Jessica.

“I’m fine with anything.”

“Something thrilling or would you rather not?”

“Perhaps something thrilling,” Jessica said. “It’s so rare to have a chance like this to let my hair down. I want to let off some steam.”.

“Okay,” John replied.

He brought Jessica to the Thrilling Adventure Zone, and they went on many rides-roller coasters, 360 mega swing, drop tower, pirate ship….

Richard was unable to ride on all of these rides, which eliminated any chance of them bumping into each other.

Cordy accompanied Richard in the kids zone, and they were seated on a small boat, quietly sailing on the lake.

Her phone suddenly rang.

Cordy saw Richard immersed in the boat ride and glanced at her phone to see a friend request on her socials.

She clicked on it and saw that it was from Jessica.

Cordy’s finger trembled

She decided to accept the friend request.

“Mommy.” Richard called out to her excitedly.

“Ms. Sachs?”

Cordy turned around.

To her surprise, she saw Jessica and John.

Clearly, the both of them were queueing up to ride on the Ferris wheel too.

Cordy pursed her lips.

What luck, really.

“Dicky, what a coincidence,” Jessica said with a smile.

“Oh,” Richard said coldly.

Jessica scrunched up her nose in a feigned complaint. “Cold and distant just like your daddy. No girls will like you if you remain like this.”

“I don’t need girls to like me. It’s enough with Mommy liking me.” With that, Richard held Cordy’s arm tightly.

“You ungrateful brat! I took care of you since you were young and now that you have Mommy, you don’t want to be close to me anymore?! Did you forget how I fed you and changed your diapers?!

You even said that you would take care of me when I grow old!”

Jessica appeared upset.
