It was a slight motion, but Cordy woke the man beside her.

To be precise, John was already up and was waiting for her to wake up.

"Hungry?" John asked her, his attractive voice clearly buoyed.

Right now, he was feeling very energetic and refreshed.

On the other hand, Cordy’s whole body felt limp and she thought she could die at that very moment.

"What time is it?" Cordy asked.

"Ten o’clock," John replied.

"That late?" she gasped.

"What do you think?" John chuckled, his glee barely hidden from his voice.

"Where's Dicky?"

"He said he's old enough to go to bed on his own, and he just did, like the good boy he is," John replied, before adding, "He also maintains that he'd be an exemplary brother."

Cordy shot him a look, before struggling to get up.

As John moved to help her up, the blanket slipped off, revealing all the hickeys and signs of fearsome lovemaking.

Cordy turned towards him again, who asked a little awkwardly, "Getting out of bed?"

"Yeah."

"I'll get your clothes."

"Thank you."

John lifted the blanket and got out of bed, but he was naked even though he had already woken up for some time.

As such, Cordy had to avert his eyes.

"No, I won't stay with her."

"You should marry her," Cordy said very clearly.

John's fingers clenched on his knife and fork, and he asked icily, "So that's what you wanted to say after all that?"

"You can call that settling a debt."

"Really?" John chuckled at her cruelty, despite himself.

He thought they loved each other after today, but it turned out to be single-sided.

He knew he shouldn’t have succumbed to her seduction, or things would end badly!

"Just think of it as ending the way it started," Cordy said, staring at him solemnly.

"Don't lie to yourself, Cordy!" John snapped, repressing his rage. "You're not that apathetic towards me, or you wouldn't have been able to indulge yourself… You wouldn’t be able to relish it like you did today!"
