Cordy leaned against John's chest, listening to his strong heartbeat.

"Cordy, have I never told you why I love you so much?" John lowered his head to look at her pale face.

"Yes, you did..." Cordy became quite helpless.

"It's more than that. It's because I fell in love with you at first sight when we were young." John admitted to it.

She did not understand why her mother, who loved her so much, would suddenly leave her forever.
