“Master.” Edgar rushed over to the elderly man’s side once he saw him.

Ryker also raced over to the elderly man and respectfully greeted him, “Master Derrell.”

Derrell nodded his head in response, then turned to Zion. “President Zeigler, three days is too short. Seven days. Give me seven days, and I’ll help elevate Edgar’s capabilities to a whole new level.”

Everyone was stunned by Derrell’s promise. After all, cultivation wasn’t child’s play. There was no shortcut to ascending to another level within a short period unless one practiced the Demonic Cultivation methods. That was why so many cultivators went down that path.

“Master Derrell, isn’t it a haste to break through to another level within seven days? Is that even possible?” Zion asked skeptically.

“President Zeigler, Edgar was already at the crucial phase and would reach the Eighth Level Martial Arts Grandmaster soon. He hadn’t planned to participate in the Trial initially. In that case, I have the confidence to ensure he reaches the Top Level of Martial Arts Grandmaster by year-end. However, his return had wasted too much time already, so I had no choice but to come all the way here myself. I even brought along an amp pill to give him a boost,” Derrell explained.

Zion finally understood after Derrell’s explanation. He was slightly envious of Edgar for having such a responsible mentor as Derrell.

Remorse gnawed at Ryker slightly after hearing Derrell’s explanation. Edgar hadn’t planned on returning to participate in the Trial initially. I was the one who asked him to return since I wanted the valuable items within the Emperor’s Mausoleum.

Who could’ve thought that not only did Edgar fail to achieve anything from the Trial, he had also gotten beat by Jared and was nearly disfigured?

Whatever it is, it was too late to regret now. Luckily, Master Derrell willingly came all this way for Edgar. With his help, Edgar will most likely win against Jared.

Meanwhile, Theodore was looking for Jared at the Department of Justice in Jadeborough. “Mr. Chance, the Deragons had officially challenged you for a battle with Edgar on the arena.”

Jared nodded. “I know, but I never thought they’ll set it seven days later. It looks like they’re planning to elevate Edgar’s abilities.”

Jared was confident about winning Edgar. Edgar isn’t my opponent if nothing out of the ordinary happens.

“What are you planning to do, Mr. Chance? It can be brutal in the arena. Should I ask Mr. Sanders to mediate? You merely gave Edgar a round of beatings. I’m sure the Deragons will look the other way if Mr. Sanders talks to them.”

Theodore didn’t want Jared battling in the arena because it was obviously a calculated move by the Deragons.
