Chapter 1346 You Are Not Dead

When the visitor got closer to them, Millie froze, for the person standing before them was Jared, the man who had resurrected from the dead.

Jared, too, was surprised to see Millie leaving in a rush with a group of people behind her. “Millie, where are you taking these people at this hour?” he asked.

However, Millie did not answer his question. All she did was stare at Jared fixedly, which sent chills down his spine. “Millie? Millie?” Jared called out a few more times.

“Jared!” Millie suddenly shouted and threw herself into Jared’s embrace, bursting into tears.

Jared was bewildered by Millie’s sudden actions.

Given no choice, he raised his arms and let Millie hug and cry as much as she wanted. It took her some time before she finally stopped crying.

Seeing Millie had stopped crying, Jared asked, “What happened, Millie?”

“I knew you weren’t dead, Jared. I knew you wouldn’t die…” Millie uttered with a grin, wiping her tears away.

“Who said I was dead?” Jared asked, utterly puzzled. Truth was, he had no idea Zion had been spreading the news of the former’s death in Warriors Alliance.

“Warriors Alliance of Jadeborough. They posted on the martial arts forum saying you were murdered by President Zeigler of Warriors Alliance,” Millie explained.

Jared furrowed his brows upon hearing that. He never expected Zion, the president of Warriors Alliance, would bully the weak by killing him and even have the guts to announce it on the martial arts forum.

Despite that, Jared thought it was a great idea. Now that everyone believed he was dead, he could cultivate in peace without anyone disturbing him.

Jared smiled and ruffled Millie’s hair, saying, “How could I be killed so easily? Did you really believe it just because they said that?”

Millie quickly shook her head and denied, “Of course, I didn’t believe them. My sister didn’t, either. She even asked me to watch over the cave, saying you’d definitely return.”

Jared queried, “So, where are you taking all these people to? It’s already so late at night.”

“Lord Cowper, there’s someone out there who wants to meet you,” informed the disciple.

“At such an hour? Who is it?” Desmond asked, confused.

“He says his name is Jared Chance,” answered the disciple.

As soon as Desmond heard the name, he stumbled from his seat, and his eyes widened in shock. “What did you say? Did you get a good look at him?”

“Well, he says his name is Jared. A-And I’ve never met him before,” the disciple said helplessly. He had never met Jared before. Thus, the disciple did not know if the visitor was actually Jared, even if he had a good look at the latter.

Desmond trembled, his heart pounding.

Warriors Alliance has clearly announced that Zion killed Jared. Why would Jared suddenly appear here now?
