Chapter 2243 Different Father And Mother

Inside Flying Star Sect’s grand hall, five grievously injured elders were in their seats. In front of them was an eighty-year-old man with a scowl on his face.

He was none other than the leader of Flying Star Sect, Wrey Lindt, and Avery was his only son.

As Wrey had his son in his later years, he ended up spoiling Avery, causing the latter to grow up with an androgynous character. Even then, he would never reprimand his son one bit.

Consequently, he was devastated to learn of Avery’s death.

“Master, Luminous Sect is responsible for your son’s death and beating us up,” Doyle related to Wrey.

“I know. The man responsible is called Jared Chance. He isn’t part of Luminous Sect and is an outsider. However, why didn’t you protect Avery?” Wrey questioned the five elders with an icy look in his eyes.

“Mr. Lindt told us to stay behind and stand guard outside, so… so…” Doyle explained in a trembling voice.

“I ordered you to protect my son, but you return with him dead. I think I should bury all of you with him.”

Before the elders could react, Wrey unleashed an overwhelming force of martial energy with a wave of his hand.

All of them were turned into mush before they had the chance to even scream.

As Wrey stared at the pool of bloodied remains on the ground, his eyes brimmed with murderous intent. “Jared Chance, I’m going to make you pay with your life.”

Back at Stormwind Sect, Emiliano’s mother was crying her eyes out in Tucker’s arms.

“Tucker, our son is dead. Dead! Why did you allow him to go to the ancient ruins? Why didn’t you stop him?”

In the midst of her cries, a grim expression descended upon Tucker’s face.

Right then, the room door was opened and in came Hugh.

The moment Hugh stepped out of the door, a vicious glint flashed across his eyes.

“Dad, did Jared kill Emiliano? I’m going to take his life for this,” asked Garthor angrily upon returning from Reflection Cliff.

“Your brother is dead. I have instructed Tucker to capture Jared and bring him here. As for you, continue your training at home, and don’t get involved,” Hugh ordered Garthor.

“Dad, even though we’re brothers from a different mother, it’s my responsibility as the elder one to exact revenge on his behalf.”

With rage swelling within him, Garthor felt the urge to kill Jared.

“Enough. Listen to me, continue your training and don’t interfere.”

Hugh walked away the moment he finished. He had wanted to tell Garthor that Emiliano wasn’t his brother at all.
