Chapter 2247 Beware Of The Demon Beasts

Jared and the others sailed across the endless sea rapidly. There were not any small islands in sight, and everything was calm and serene.

Finally, Archer could heave a sigh of relief.

Suddenly, the tranquil sea became stormy. Rogue waves repeatedly hit Jared's vessel, which was made out of a tree trunk, forcing them to change direction.

“Why are there waves when there's no wind at all?” Skyler asked curiously.

Jared, on the other hand, announced solemnly, “Be careful for the demon beasts are here.”

Instantly, his words made everyone nervous.

At the same time, they also saw a dozen huge figures squirming in the sea. Those waves were apparently created by the demon beasts!

The beasts constantly leaped above the sea and then slammed hard on its surface, stirring up huge waves that put Jared and the rest into a chaotic predicament.

“Demon beasts that have reached the cultivation level are too terrifying..." Flaxseed stared at them, dumbfounded.

He had never seen such powerful demon beasts before. Moreover, there were more than a dozen of them!

Suddenly, Godrick lost his balance and fell into the water while being pursued by a group of demon beasts.

Even though he was a Martial Arts Saint, he was no match for the demon beasts who were Martial Arts God, especially when they were all battling in the sea!

As soon as Jared saw Godrick falling, the former tiptoed and swiftly made a leap into the sky. Like an eagle spreading its wings, Jared got hold of Godrick and immediately pulled him up.

“You leave first, Mr. Flaxseed. I want to kill these beasts,” said Jared.

Jared then landed a ferocious punch on the demon beast who was about to attack him with an opened mouth.

Jared's terrifying spiritual energy burst forth, stirring up waves that were several meters high! Unfortunately, his powerful blow failed to kill the beast. It merely delayed its attack.

Surprise gripped Jared. A punch from me is sufficient to beat the demon beast to a pulp, but how come I couldn't kill it?

As the demon beast approached him, Jared threw punches at it again, but to no avail. Besides, he also felt strenuous with each punch unleashed.

It did not take Jared long to have it all figured out. Fighting his enemy in the water consumed a great deal of his energy. Therefore, the power of his punches was weakened when it was offset by the seawater, leaving very minimal impact on the demon beasts.

The only exception to that would be to fight against a demon beast lower than his martial arts level. However, the one he was battling with was a Martial Arts God. It was almost impossible for Jared to defeat it with just one punch.

Since he was unable to end the fight as quickly as he could, Jared plunged into the depths of the sea at lightning speed while they continued to chase after him.
