Meanwhile, in the ocean near Kazillion Mountains, a pillar of water shot high up into the clouds and stirred up huge waves. As the pillar of water came back down, a vortex with a radius of dozens of meters formed on the ocean’s surface.

The inside of the vortex was pitch-black and seemed bottomless. Naturally, a bizarre phenomenon like this was bound to attract the attention of everyone in the hidden realm.

They were all frozen in shock when they saw the bottomless vortex in the middle of the ocean. Highly-concentrated spiritual energy emanated from the vortex. It was so tempting that those who felt it couldn’t help but jump into the vortex.

Yashur, who was dozens of miles away, had noticed the sudden change in the atmosphere and came rushing over on an orca. His expression slid into a frown when he saw the giant vortex and felt the spiritual energy coming out of it.

“Did a hole open up in the secret realm?” he mumbled to himself. He could tell that the spiritual energy was not from the mundane world. Only the secret realm could have spiritual energy of such concentrations.

However, the entrances to each secret realm: were extremely well-hidden and protected by arcane arrays. One would have to recite a password in order to get in. If an entrance to a secret realm had appeared out of nowhere, then there must have been an opening in said secret realm.

After taking a moment to think about it, Yashur hopped right into the vortex as well. Jared was still unconscious inside the pitch- black vortex as the energy within continued to attack him.

Fortunately for him, his body was well protected by the dragon and phoenix. Otherwise, his body would have been reduced to a bloody pulp by then. Suddenly, a bright pillar of light, that was as fast as lightning, appeared inside the vortex and struck Jared.

The energy flowing into Jared’s body was immediately absorbed by the tattoo of the crystal skull. Jared slowly opened his eyes as the power inside him disappeared, only to feel a sharp pain tearing through his chest.

His curiosity overcoming the pain, Jared’s gaze shifted downward, and his eyes widened in shock at the sight of the crystal skull tattoo etched onto his chest.

“What is happening?” Jared exclaimed in shock and confusion. Before he even realized what was going on, however, his body had crashed onto a huge rock.

Jared felt as though his aura was being suppressed as his blood surged violently through his veins. A few seconds later, he coughed up a mouthful of blood that was pitch- black in color.

To his astonishment, the blood seeped through the giant rock it had landed on, melting a hole as if it were acid. What the… What’s going on with my body?
