While Jared and the others were taking a break, Wrey and his party arrived at the location above the abyss. Looking at the bottomless chasm, Wrey grimaced.

“Did you say that Jared and the others are here?” Wrey asked Great Diviner’s eldest disciple, Chandler. “Mr. Lindt, my calculations indicate they should be here. If they’re not around, they must’ve gone down there,” Chandler replied.

Hugh peered into the abyss and unleashed a trace of spiritual sense into it, only to find his spiritual sense cut off instantly. He was unable to probe the situation within the chasm at all.

Then, he picked up a stone and threw it into the chasm, but there was no sound of the rock hitting the bottom of the pit. “This abyss is filled with negative energy, and it’s bottomless. Jared and his party wouldn’t be so foolish as to jump in, right?” Hugh was unconvinced.

“I think so too. They wouldn’t jump into such a deep, unpredictable chasm to evade us. Besides, I feel an intense, dangerous aura within this abyss.” Wrey also didn’t believe Jared and his group would jump in.

Hearing that, Chandler hastily uttered, “Mr. Lindt, Jared and his party must be here. Besides, there’s no place to hide in this area, and since they’re nowhere to be seen, they must’ve jumped into the abyss. I can assure you that!”

Chandler was worried that Wrey and the others wouldn’t trust him. In that case, he would lose his value. If that happened, Chandler knew full well what consequences he would face.

“Relax. I have faith in your divination skills. Since you’re Great Diviner’s eldest disciple, you must’ve mastered his teachings.” Wrey stepped forward and patted Chandler’s shoulder. Chandler secretly let out a sigh of relief after hearing that. However, before he could lower his guard, Wrey pushed him into the abyss.

However, Jared strode forward and grasped Great Diviner’s wrist. “Master Diviner, let’s clarify matters with him first.” Hearing that, Great Diviner questioned Chandler frostily, “Tell me, you b*stard, where are Wrey and the others? Did they jump down too?”

“No. They didn’t dare to jump down, so they pushed me down to scout the area. Master, I was wrong, I realize I made a mistake now. Please forgive me this time,” Chandler desperately begged for mercy.

“We need to leave at once. If those guys jump down, it’ll be troublesome if we encounter them.” Jared wasn’t inclined to confront Wrey and his party for the time being.

He wanted to devote all his energy to exploring the abyss, figuring there might be an opportunity within it. “All right. Let’s go.” After saying that, Great Diviner struck Chandler’s head without hesitation, killing him instantly. No one spared Chandler a second glance and hurriedly left the scene.
