“You can't even see him anymore. We should go,” Jared said to the lovesick Pearl.

“What's the rush? How annoying...” She rolled her eyes at him. “Look, even if you go, it'll only be a waste of time. I don't trust your alchemy skills. Just look at Roderick. “What utter nonsense! How rude can you be? If you have nothing nice to say, keep your mouth shut. Roderick likes me, of course. Those women hanging around him are merely an act. I'm the one he truly likes. It's just that my master watches me like a hawk. Otherwise, we would have been a couple already.” With that, she walked straight ahead and paid no more attention to him.
