“Mr. Ortiz, I’ve laid bare the truth before you now. You aren’t planning to harm me, are you?”

As Jared glanced at Gael, who was heartily laughing, a hint of nervousness crept into his voice.

“No! There’s no way I’d even think about plotting against my dear son-in-law,” Gael replied with a laugh.

“Son-in-law?” Taken aback, Jared quickly waved his hands and said, “Mr. Ortiz, please don’t misunderstand. There’s really nothing between me and Juliet.”

“Enough, no need for further explanations. I can tell that my daughter doesn’t find you repulsive. Besides, you’ve already seen her naked. Don’t you think you should take responsibility?” Gael said.

Jared was shocked to hear that. He couldn’t understand how Gael knew about him seeing Juliet naked.

Moreover, Gael was confined here, and was mad some of the time. How could he possibly

Jared intended to use that condition as a bargaining chip to negotiate with Gael.
