“You talk too much…”
With a swift wave of his hand, Jared summoned a fire in the blink of an eye. No one had a chance to react. Maurice suddenly burst into flames. Accompanied by his horrifying screams, he was burned alive by the relentless fire.
Upon witnessing this scene, everyone was utterly astounded.
However, a greedy look appeared in everyone’s eyes. The hundred-year offering by the Demon Seal Alliance was not a small sum.
If the Violet Flame Sect got the award, it wouldn’t have had to worry about resources for a hundred years.
“So, you’re Jared. It all makes sense now. No wonder you could defeat Thiago. But since you hid your identity, you’re definitely up to no good here in the Violet Flame Sect. “Reveal your true self now. Let me see what the person who is being hunted down by the Demon Seal Alliance truly looks like,” said Berthold coldly as he stepped forward slowly.
“Since you’re so keen to see, I’ll make sure you get an eyeful.”
Jared gave a faint smile, his aura shifting around him, his appearance underwent a transformation. A handsome, dashing, and youthful face emerged.
“It’s him…”
Carlo’s brows furrowed.
“Mr. Graham, do you know this brat?” asked Harlan.
“Yes. He ruined my plans at the Pathfinder Sect. Today, I’m going to give him a lesson he won’t forget,” replied Carlo.
At first, when Jared attacked, he merely felt a familiar aura from Jared. Now, he was certain- the one who had ruined his plans was indeed Jared.
Upon seeing Jared’s face, everyone was thrown into a commotion as they discussed spiritedly.
“Mr. Berthold, this person and I have some unsettled business. Let me resolve our issues first, then you can decide what to do with him,” said Carlo as he walked toward Berthold.
Berthold paused. He looked at Carlo and asked, “Mr. Graham, what are you saying? Are you trying to compete with the Violet Flame Sect? Are you tempted by the Demon Seal Alliance’s hundred-year offering?”
Berthold had initially thought that Carlo was going to compete with him. If Carlo killed Jared, the hundred-year offering by the Demon Seal Alliance would end up with the Duad Formation Sect.
“Mr. Berthold, you’ve misunderstood. I had a history with Jared. I’m not trying to compete with the Violet Flame Sect. I won’t kill him. I’ll just trap him and torture him. How can I possibly steal anything from you when in the territory of the Violet Flame Sect?” explained Carlo hastily.
Berthold was about to say something, but Harlan interjected, “Berthold, Mr. Graham won’t compete with us. Let him teach that kid a lesson and vent his anger.”
After Harlan finally spoke, Berthold slowly retreated. Carlo faced Jared, his eyes slightly narrowed. He asked coldly, “Brat, do you still remember me?”
“I don’t remember a piece of trash like you who wouldn’t even spare a kid,” replied Jared with a slight smile.
