“No, no, no, my position as leader is only temporary. I will leave after I finish dealing with things. At that time, I will pass the leadership to Juliet,” Jared said hurriedly.

He thought Gael wanted him to be the leader to eventually pass the position to Juliet. If Gael passed the position directly to Juliet, some elders might not accept it.
