“I’ll go check the floor above. Didn’t you say there’s an old geezer who’s cultivated for ten thousand years? I want to see who’s on that level,” Jared replied.

He had learned that each floor of the tower imprisoned someone, so he was curious about the occupant of the next level.

“Mr. Chance, since you want to see for yourself, I’ll try to break the restriction on this level. If I can, I’ll accompany you,” Cyanna said, then walked toward the staircase.

As soon as her foot touched the stairs, a burst of blood-red light swept through the area, and Cyanna was instantly blasted back.

She stood up, and a swirl of energy formed around her, creating a rapidly spinning vortex.

She tried stepping onto the stairs again, but the blood light struck her once more, sending her flying.
