When they noticed Axton’s arrival, they quickly set everything aside and rushed to greet him.

“Mr. Knox, is he your guest? Our Lord will be most pleased if he can help us craft a high-tier pill,” one of the men clad in black robes asked.

He was Damian, the third-ranking elder of the Medicine God Sect. After all, only those who were elders could be present within the hall.

“Damian, can we first discuss how we can save this young woman?” Axton moved aside as he spoke, revealing Lyanna, who was in Jared’s arms.

The elders jolted in shock. “Mr. Knox, this is the Medicine God Hall! No one is allowed to enter save for the elders. How could you bring an outsider in here?”

“I’ll explain that later. First, please check if we can still save this woman,” Axton replied agitatedly. If we can save Lyanna, Jared will be in our debt. This way, Jared won’t be inclined to refuse if we ask for his help to craft the pills.

When the other elders noticed Axton’s worried expression, they dropped the subject matter and collectively turned to look at Lyanna.

One of the elders stepped forward to check Lyanna’s pulse. Immediately, a dark expression loomed across his face as he shook his head helplessly. “Her internal organs have been severely damaged. It would be difficult to heal her when she’s in such a state. Did you feed her a longevity pill? Otherwise, she wouldn’t have been able to survive thus far.”

Damian remained unconvinced. “Mr. Knox, are you joking around? He looks like he’s only in his twenties. How could he be as skilled as you described? Even if he started learning alchemy in his mother’s womb, it would be impossible for him to be able to craft a high-tier pill.”

“Damian is right. He looks too young! Is he so talented to the point where he can craft a high-tier pill? Mr. Knox, are they your relatives? Is that why you lied to us?” Timothy chimed in.

“Hmph, I’ll ask Jared to craft a high-tier pill at this instance!” Axton spat angrily. “When have I ever lied to you?” Faced with accusations from the other elders, he couldn’t help but blow his top.

“Mr. Knox, I’m so sorry. I’m not as skilled as you paint me out to be. The best I can do is craft normal boosting pills or revitalizing pills,” Jared called out before the situation could escalate any further.
