Colin declared, “I won’t lose interest! I will win Renee over!” With that, he led the others in pursuit of Jared’s group.

They had barely taken two steps when Colin turned around to address Kenneth and Kristoff, “Both of you aren’t allowed to mess around with Renee’s friends, got it? If you want to enjoy the company of women, I’ll send you a truckload after we’re back.”

Kenneth snorted and replied, “Cut it out! I never said I was going to play around with any woman. That’s all in your imagination.”

He did not alight from the boat to pursue women in the first place.

Kristoff, on the other hand, had been interested in hitting on the pretty Josephine.

Colin’s point-blank warning had him smiling and saying dramatically, “All right. I will sacrifice myself for your happiness!”

“Kenneth, Kristoff, I’ll treat both of you to drinks after this!” Colin announced before setting off in hasty pursuit.

Kenneth and Kristoff exchanged a tense glance before following Colin.

Meanwhile, Jared had led Josephine and the others deeper into the island. After checking that no one was following them, he took out his map and checked it. He confirmed their bearings and continued walking.

There was little trace of human activity on the island. Thick snow made it difficult to see into the distance. Additionally, the island was shrouded in dense spiritual energy.

Josephine took a deep breath with her eyes closed. She sighed, “The air on this island is amazing.”

Jared smiled at the sight of Josephine’s expression and commented, “Don’t breathe with your nose. Try to use your body to absorb the surrounding air.”

Josephine could sense the spiritual energy on the island thanks to the detoxification pill she had consumed earlier; this was how she perceived the exceptional freshness of the air in regions with high levels of spiritual energy.

Just then, Colin and his men caught up to Jared’s group. Colin rasped, “Wait for me, Renee. Wait for me.”

Jared frowned slightly at the sight of Colin’s men. It’ll be difficult to execute our plans if there are people following us around!

Josephine teased, “Renee, does he actually like you?”
