Chapter 872 Human Versus Snake

“Haha! Jared, no matter how strong your body is, you’re no match for this snake! Kill them! Kill all of them!” As Declan was laughing, he was trying his best to hold on to the black halo.

He couldn’t afford to let that halo disappear because the snake would instantly die if that were to happen. Since the snake was from a different dimension, the halo served as a gateway for the snake to enter into the dimension they were at.

In the meantime, Jared was observing Declan. Why is he trying so hard to maintain the halo when he looks like he’s struggling? Could it be that if the halo disappears, it’ll bring the snake along with it? Yes! That must be it!

After getting thrown across the sky, he crashed heavily into the ground.

The impact was so hard that a deep crater was formed due to his fall. Jared was then seen climbing out of the crater with difficulty.

At that moment, streams of blood were flowing down from his arm. Even though he had a tough body, he still bled due to the bite.

“Jared…” Lyanna immediately took off her shirt and wrapped his wound with it.

“Get away from here…” Jared urged when he felt a strong gust of wind approaching them. He shoved her aside and ended up getting smacked by the snake’s tail.

Jared was sent flying more than ten meters away before falling to the ground with a heavy thud.

Following that, blood was seeping out from the corner of his mouth.

Lyanna, Theodore, and the others instantly got anxious upon seeing that. To their dismay, there was nothing they could do to help Jared.

There wasn’t much Jared could do as he watched the snake’s mouth approaching him. I’m injured. There’s no way I can dodge it!

At that split second, Jared’s body started emitting a gentle white beam of light. Soon, the brightness was intensified. It had gotten so bright that Jared’s body seemed to have turned transparent.

There, the draconic essence was shining brightly. Under the bright white beam of light, the snake panicked and began rolling on the ground and wailing at the same time.

Right then, the body of the snake was shrinking at a speed visible to the naked eye. From the initial length of more than ten meters, the snake had shrunk to a mere few meters long within a few seconds.

As the snake was rolling in pain, it was trying to make its way toward Declan. With all its might, it leaped into the black halo and tried to escape.
