Sage looked up to see that Sunny and Jaxon had not left. Wondering why, she looked out. To her sight, she realized that it was Jace that stood in their way at the entrance

She frowned slightly and thought to herself, ‘Why is he everywhere I go?’

It was as though Jace had never left her.

She put the laptop aside and stood up. Sage walked towards the exit and said with a displeased tone, “Why haven’t the two of you left? Are you staying for dinner?”

She sounded extremely cold and impatient. “We’re leaving now, goodbye, Miss Sage.” Sunny smiled and nudged Jaxon to hurry. The used towel was left by the door, and Jace was extremely furious looking at it.

He gritted his teeth and veins popped out of his forehead. His voice was laced with ice when he spoke, “Since when did you start to have unspoken rules?”

Unspoken rules?

Sage was dumbstruck but she quickly understood what he meant. The situation could be easily taken out of context, but Sage didn’t bother to explain herself to Jace.

“Okay!” Jace blocked the door with his hand this time and he had an eager look on his face, “I want to ask you about Doctor S.”

Sage acknowledged and said, “Ask away.”

Jace was speechless, “Can I come in?”

“No.”
