Chapter 725 “That won‘t do.” Simon said, “Leaving our friendship aside. Have you forgotten about your habit?”

Wayne widened his eyes, “What habit?”

“Once you start on something, you must complete it and it must be flawless or you‘d rather not start at all.” Simon chuckled, “A perfectionist with OCD. There‘s no treatment for that.”

Wayne shouted, “Scram!”

“Alright, alright. You don’t have to be so hot–tempered.” Simon pulled Wayne to sit down on the couch, “It‘s all my fault. I failed to supervise these people. It will never happen again. You are the head of the project and you have all the say in it.”

“I‘m not going back because of you. The reason I agreed to go back is because of money!” Wayne snorted, “You think I didn‘t know how capitalist–minded you are? The project is already halfway done. I need to complete it to get my money.” Simon smiled so brightly that his eyes turned into lines. “You don‘t have to worry about money. I know that when you sign the contract with Jace, all of the profit from the project would belong to Sage. At the end of the day, you will still earn money for your granddaughter.” Just after Simon finished talking, Wayne stared at him, “Hey! Why did you say this? Who allowed you to say it out?”

Previously, he had been acting dumb and playing stupid when Sage asked, but now he has been exposed! Obviously, Sage already knew about it so she just smiled.

While the two old men fought, Riley just sat quietly and ate the food. Concentrating on eating was the most respectful way a person could give food. His cheeks were filled like a squirrel who wanted to store food in its mouth.

Both of them went to another place to play. A maid followed them with a tray full of snacks to watch them play and also took the opportunity to feed Riley more food.

“Sage...” Simon had not put on a straight face, “To be honest, I‘m not capable enough to be able to handle the situation with the Yuriel Group now. At my age, I should be able to look past the fame and money... yet I‘m still reluctant to see Yuriel Group crumble down after so many people had put in their effort to bring it to its glory today. I don‘t care about the future. I just hope that when I‘m alive, it would still be fine.”

It was the hope and wish of every founder of an empire. Maybe other people would not understand it, but Sage did after seeing how hard her parent worked to start their business. A business empire could not be built in one day. There were many unseen blood, sweat, and tears that people devoted their life and effort to it.

“I‘m almost at the end of my road and no longer have the energy to teach and cultivate another successor. I can‘t count on Flynn and Felipe. If I could, I wouldn‘t have come here to ask for your help,” Grandpa Yuriel said.

“You‘re exaggerating,” Sage comforted. Then she said seriously, “I can agree to be in charge of Yuriel Group. But I have three conditions. If you agree to it, then we can give it a try.” Simon‘s eyes sparkled brightly, “What are they?”
