She didn’t quite believe in George’s story. “Mr. Levin, that wasn’t what you said when we were here yesterday. Do you have any underlying reasons preventing you from talking about this?”

George closed his turbid eyes, his breathing growing slightly rapid. “No underlying reasons. I just don’t want to bring trouble onto myself. Please don’t visit me anymore. Mr. Sloane’s affairs have nothing to do with me. All I want is to wait for my death in peace.”

The thought of her tedious trip to the mailing address made this difficult for Tiffany to accept. However, George had put a dead end to her conversation. If Mr. Sloane didn’t change his name, we’ll just come back another time and visit George to talk about Mr. Sloane’s past. That’s all we can do to try our best in searching for evidence and the truth. It’s been so many years so we can’t expect to discover everything all at once.”

Tiffany was in awe. “I thought that you’d end up suffering another blow. I’m glad that you’re alright. I’ve got to get home. You should go home and get an early night’s rest too.”
