The chat buzzed.

"Haha, yes! You'll get used to it!"

"Honestly, even though I've seen Demi's strength multiple times, I still can't help but gape whenever she chops down a tree."

"My eyes went wide too. My mom asked me what scared me so much, haha…"

Demi continued searching for suitable trees while holding the shovel.

"What should we do?" Maria and Tyler asked as Demi began chopping down the second tree.

They didn't want to feel like useless bystanders.

"Go gather some vines. We'll need them later to set up the tent," Demi instructed.

As she spoke, the second tree crashed to the ground.

Demi paused for a moment. "I don't think I told Mrs. Yale about the rain. I should send her a message."

"Alright, you do that. We'll go grab the vines," Maria said, dragging Tyler along.

"Use a knife to cut them," Demi reminded.

"Got it!" Maria called back cheerfully as they left.

Demi quickly sent a message to Wendy, warning her about the rain, then resumed chopping trees.

Meanwhile, Wendy's team was still gathering wild fruits and crabs. Since they had plenty of seafood left from lunch, they hadn't bothered going to the beach to catch more.

Suddenly, something darted past Ana's feet.

She screamed instinctively. When she looked again, she saw a black snake as thick as an arm.

Her scream escalated to a shrill pitch as she stumbled backward.

Sally and Wendy turned toward her, yelping and stumbling away when they saw the snake.

Just then, Wendy's phone chimed in her pocket, but she was too distracted to notice.

The rain started to drizzle down at 5:00 pm.

"We need to find a place to set up camp." Nigel frowned.

"But this whole area is just trees…" Ana frowned as she looked around.

But they had exchanged fire-starting equipment once. They probably couldn't ask for a multifunctional shovel or machete now.

Wendy also frowned. "I doubt we can even start a fire in the rain."

Just then, Thomas and Ana came running through the rain, drenched.

"Mr. Yale, let's hurry and set up the tent," Thomas urged, shielding his face from the rain.

"We don't have anything to chop wood with," Nigel said flatly.

Thomas fell silent.

Wendy, Chad, and Sally all turned to look at Ana.

Ana froze before realization hit her. She had insisted on getting seasonings instead of a multifunctional shovel earlier.

"The crew wouldn't just leave us out in the rain, right?" she muttered, turning to the staff. "Can you provide us with a tool to chop wood?"

The crew members exchanged glances. One of them shook his head. "No."

"So you're saying we're supposed to stand in the rain?" Ana's frown deepened. She tried to keep her irritation in check, but frustration was bubbling up.

She had already faced rejection from the other contestants several times today, which had put her in a bad mood. Now, even the staff was shutting her down. Her irritation was about to boil over!
