"These will have to do for now. I'll think about the rest next time," she said. If she weren't worried about wasting Felix's time, she would've continued browsing the books slowly. She would even explore the other sections and buy something else entirely. For example, she wanted to check out some novels too.

She loved reading in the past. Unfortunately, she didn't have the time and money at all back then. However, things were different now, and she finally had both. So, she decided to come back for them again next time.

Demi figured Margaret would be worried sick. As she had expected, Margaret hurriedly welcomed Demi upon seeing her.

"Did you save that Mr. West?" Margaret asked anxiously.

"Don't worry, Grandma. I've saved him," Demi said with a smile.

Margaret glanced at Clifford, who had entered the house with the books, and she said nothing else.

"Ms. Demi, where should I put these?" he asked.

"Just leave them on the floor. Thank you," Demi answered.

"Don't mention it, Ms. Demi. Well, I'll take my leave now." After Clifford placed the books on the ground and nodded, he left the scene.
