"About that… I took the wrong gift by mistake…" Thomas still wanted to salvage the situation.

"Get lost!" Maria picked up the gift and shoved it into his arms. "I can't believe it. Is it really that hard to remember her birthday when it's on the same day as Ana's? Look at how you're exposed now! Serves you right for coming up with the idea so suddenly."

Thomas stayed silent for a while before saying, "I really did take the wrong gift, Demi. We're throwing you and Annie a party today on the 16th floor of Crystal Hotel. So, come with me after the class ends later."

"Since you've taken the wrong gift, show me the gift you've prepared for Demi," Maria said nonchalantly.

Thomas suddenly looked awkward and uneasy as he frustratedly looked at her. He didn't understand why she would make things hard for him. She had been stopping him from patching things up with Demi since the first episode!

Meanwhile, Maria was dumbfounded. At first, she thought he was sincere and almost believed in him. However, it turned out he really didn't prepare any gifts for Demi at all. She couldn't believe he didn't prepare a gift for his own sister! Instead, he got one for Ana!

Thomas miserably returned to his seat with the opened gift. Ana was upset, and she looked at him with teary eyes. "How could you give someone else the gift you've prepared for me? Look at how she has destroyed the packaging!"

She wasn't just upset about Thomas; she was also upset about how George and the others were giving Demi gifts but not her.

"Is Demi a someone else?" Thomas turned to Ana with a fierce gaze. He was already feeling bad enough, and she was still scolding him!

Ana was stunned when she heard what he said, and her eyes teared up even more. So, he helplessly said, "Annie, you have all the things you want in life! So, stop…"

"Thomas!" Ana looked shocked and covered Thomas' mouth while anxiously looking at their surroundings. Since the classroom was big and there weren't too many people there, everyone sat far from each other. No one else was sitting next to Thomas and Ana.

Thomas realized what was happening and stopped talking after pulling Ana's hand away. Then, he pulled out his phone and messaged Daniel. "Mission failed. Let's just go with our original plans."

Chad: "But isn't Ana celebrating her birthday there, too? Wouldn't it be awkward if we saw her?"

George: "Are you scared?"

Chad: "Fine! I'm overthinking it."

Wendy: "It's alright. If you're worried about it, just drop by at Ana's party for a little."

Suddenly, Maria thought she was being impulsive about it as well. She wasn't afraid of offending the Pitts. In fact, she could go up against anyone she wanted. However, the others might have some considerations about it.
