At that moment, Ana instinctively clutched her head and screamed as another flash of lightning illuminated the room. Right beside her, Alex and Thomas jumped in fright.

The live chat exploded with comments.

"Oh my gosh! Now, it's lightning and thunder again!"

"Someone's swearing lies—even Mother Nature can't stand it!"

"Come on, Demi's fans! It's just raining. Thunder and lightning during a storm is normal!"

Demi's eyes were as cold as ice as she glared at Ana. "Ana, what more do you have to say? I already told you—everyone knows your actions, and you're lying to the heavens. Even the gods can't stand your deceit!"

Ana dropped the hand that had been shielding her head and shouted back, "It's just a coincidence! It's raining outside—thunder and lightning are normal!"

Though a flicker of fear danced in her eyes, she tried to sound confident.

"Then do you dare swear once more, right here?" Demi taunted with a cold laugh.

Before anyone could react, Alex hurried in, trying to calm the situation. "Enough! This is all a misunderstanding—let's drop it."

But Demi wasn't finished. She turned to Alex and sneered, "Oh, so the ones who got hurt get a free pass, huh? Mr. Alex, you claim nothing's wrong, but tell me—what about that protective charm bracelet on your wrist? Can I toss it into my bathroom trash if you let me?"

"I didn't do it!" Ana shouted, her voice louder this time.

"Then you're just scared—afraid of getting zapped again?" Demi sneered.

"I didn't do it!" Ana repeated, her voice rising with determination.

"Then swear it! What are you waiting for?" Demi's tone turned icy as she pressed, "Speak up now—declare it!"

With all the courage she could muster, Ana gritted her teeth and raised her hand again. Her voice cracked as she began, "By the power of the heavens above, I, Ana, swear... I really didn't throw Demi's protective charm into the trash—"

She faltered and then stuttered on the final words, "If I'm lying… If I'm lying… may lightning… may lightning strike me!"

Her voice trailed off into a trembling whisper as she fought to control her fear.
