Demi smiled faintly and said with a gentle but warning tone, "Larry, tell the truth. Why did you and Timothy get into a fight?"

Larry smirked and blurted, "I provoked him on purpose! When he walked past me, I told him the only reason he and his sister got into this school was because his sister slept with some old man."

He paused, his grin turning malicious. "And when he didn't react, I called her a prostitute. A whore. Someone who sells herself."

The room fell silent with thick tension. No one had expected a student from Moran Academy to say something so vile.

Demi's expression tensed. She'd known Larry must have provoked Timothy.

Rebecca was the first to react. Panic flashed across her face as she waved her arms frantically. "That's not true! Larry's just making things up!"

She smacked Larry on the back and scolded, "You brat, don't talk nonsense in front of the principal! Tell him you were just joking! Wait. You must've been so angry at Timothy that you didn't know what you were saying."

"I wasn't lying!" Larry retorted, his chin jutting out defiantly.

"Are you out of your mind?" Rebecca smacked him on the head.

"Enough! Rebecca, stay silent. Let me handle this," Jacob hissed.

Rebecca glanced at Jacob, then back at Larry, her face a mix of panic and desperation. She mouthed silent warnings at Larry, urging him to choose his words carefully.

Jacob looked at Larry with a stern expression and asked, "I'm asking you again. Did you insult Timothy's sister to his face? And why would you say such things?"

"We've known Demi and Timothy for a long time. We're all from Lindton. Demi and Timothy were stray kids picked up by an old woman who collected garbage. Back then, we could bully them however we wanted. There's no way they could afford to come to a school like this unless Demi slept with some old man!" Larry ranted to Jacob without restraint.

"Shut up! Shut up!" Rebecca tried to cover Larry's mouth, but he shoved her away with surprising force.
