Stephen's expression remained unchanged. As he handed his briefcase and coat to Michelle, who eagerly stepped forward to take them, he asked in a cold tone, "Didn't she tell you about the meeting with Dylan when she came back?"

"She did," Michelle replied while glancing at the housekeeper, who had initially stepped out to greet Stephen but then retreated back into the kitchen.

"She said Dylan told her to repent and do good deeds. She said she would."

"That's all?" Stephen raised an eyebrow.

"Yes. Is there anything else?" Michelle asked in confusion.

Stephen said nothing and walked toward the dining table. The others also headed to the table, including Ana and Robert, who had hurried downstairs.

After the housekeeper served the dishes, Stephen dismissed her, telling her to return to her room.

At that moment, as Stephen slowly ladled soup for himself, he casually recounted what Dylan had said.

"What? Killed someone?"

"No way!"

"Dylan must have been mistaken!"

Except for Ana, everyone at the table was staring wide-eyed in shock.

"Unfortunately, that's all Dylan said. He couldn't figure out who did what or who died. At the time, I suspected it was about Demi, so I showed him her photo, and then…" Stephen took a deep breath as the fear he had felt upon seeing Dylan cough up blood resurfaced.

Harold and Michelle immediately chimed in.

"It's not about Demi. Isn't she perfectly fine?"

"Yeah, Dylan said someone was killed, but Demi is alive and well!"

Daniel's gaze flickered as he asked, "What happened to Dylan, Dad?"

"He coughed up blood," Stephen said solemnly.

The entire dining room fell silent. Everyone was stunned.

"W-Why did he cough up blood?" Michelle stammered.

"I don't know either. Dylan seemed shocked himself. Then he got flustered and left in a hurry." Stephen took another deep breath as he spoke.

"I'm telling you this because I want you to think carefully—have you done anything that led to someone's death? If we can figure it out, we should try to make amends. Especially you, Daniel," Stephen said as he looked at Daniel.

"Check if any of Pitt Group's subsidiaries have caused any fatalities recently."

"I understand, Dad." Daniel nodded gravely.

"Same goes for the rest of you," Stephen said as he swept his authoritative gaze across Michelle and his other children.

The others nodded.

Just as Demi was about to start singing, Maria added, "Why don't we have Connor, George, and Chad listen too? Oh, and Tyler! Forget about Caitlin—we're not that close to her. You can just let her pick a few songs later."

Demi agreed. "Sounds good. I'll start a group video call."

So, Demi created a group chat and named it "Song Selection group". She then initiated a group video call.

Before long, Maria, Tyler, George, and Chad joined the call.

"Connor isn't here yet. He's probably busy," Maria guessed. "Let's go ahead and start. I'll explain why I made this group."

"Wow! I get to hear Demi sing again! I'm so happy!" Tyler exclaimed.

Chad cheered. "A treat for my ears!"

George said, "Wait a sec. I'm at a karaoke bar, so it's a bit noisy. I'll step out now."

As he spoke, a commotion could be heard on his end, along with someone asking, "Mr. Lenon, where are you going?"

"Urgent matters," George replied.

The next moment, his camera shook violently. He was clearly running.

Soon, his background changed to the back seat of a car.

"We can start now," George said, slightly out of breath.
