"...But you treated me," Thomas murmured, stunned.

"I treated you because you were literally dying. If I hadn't stepped in, you'd be dead. So don't turn around and act like I owe you anything," she snapped.

Thomas fell silent.

"Thomas, it's fine. I don't need her help." Ana tugged gently on his sleeve. Her eyes were reddened and misty, her voice weak and pitiful.

Harold shot Demi a cold look but kept his mouth shut.
