"Daniel wasn't particularly good or bad to me. As the CEO, he was always busy, cold, and aloof. Back then, I was afraid of him, just like I was afraid of all the Pitts. I constantly worried about making mistakes in front of him.

"He'd order me around occasionally. It was clear he never saw me as a sister. He traveled often for work and would bring everyone gifts. Though he sometimes forgot the gifts for others, he never failed to bring something back for Ana. I envied her so much." Demi scoffed.

Back then, Demi had been terrified of displaying her envy. So, she had hidden it behind fake smiles.

However, the housekeepers had noticed anyway and mocked how she was "born a maid but dreaming like a princess". They scorned what they saw as her delusions of grandeur. To them, she was a girl who refused to know her place.

The memory still stung. How many times had she bitten back the truth and swallowed her words despite feeling aggrieved?

Demi had cared for the Pitt family and was afraid of angering them. She was worried they would hate her.

It was all because she'd cared too much. How foolish.

The returning cast members arrived one by one, exchanging greetings. The lineup was nearly identical to last time, except Daniel had replaced Harold.

"I'm Daniel Pitt. I'm the eldest brother to Harold, Alex, Thomas, and Ana. It's a pleasure to meet you all," he introduced himself to the guests with polished ease.

He repeated his introduction with each new arrival. The guests would introduce themselves politely in return.

Daniel shedded his usual frostiness and demeanor of a CEO for the charm of a refined gentleman. Several guests complimented his looks and poise.

Maria whispered to Demi, "Why do they keep swapping the Pitt siblings in?"

Demi shook her head and shrugged.

Maria huffed. "It looks like they are targeting you."

"Just ignore them," Demi replied indifferently.

"Still, your… I mean, Ana's eldest brother is quite handsome," Maria remarked honestly.

"He's probably here to reconcile with Demi."

"I don't get their strategy. If they'd just left Demi alone, she wouldn't have exposed anything. Their attempts to make amends seem to only provoke her into spilling more secrets."

"They're likely scared that she'll reveal the truth, but their approach always backfires spectacularly!"

"Maybe the younger brothers were too incompetent, so the big brother had to step in."

"I can't wait to see how he and Demi clash next."

"Our setup this time is different from the past few times," Richard declared, gesturing to the supplies laid out by the crew. "We're providing all the resources upfront. You may take whatever you want, as long as you can carry it."

Instead of cheering, the cast exchanged wary glances.

Wendy said, "Hold on. Just how dangerous and remote is this place you're sending us to?"
