"I... I didn't know before," Thomas said, looking genuinely wronged.

"Yeah, you all didn't know. Were you not interested or just not concerned? I remember once when Ana tripped over a boy's leg and scraped her knee—your entire family almost went to war over it, ready to tear that boy apart!" Demi's gaze turned icy as she looked at Thomas.

This was why she had said earlier that Thomas wasn't being sincere enough. If Ana had been treated like she was, the Pitt family would have stormed in and killed someone by now.

Thomas's face flushed with shame. They hadn't cared much about Demi back then, unaware of the hardships she had endured in her childhood.

"Also, the experience I mentioned earlier wasn't just about this, Demi added.

Thomas's gaze flickered as his mind raced.

"You'll never guess. I told you, you might never know," Demi said with a cold, mocking smile.

Thomas didn't reply.

"Why don't you just tell me? We'll be open with each other," Thomas said earnestly. "Whatever we did wrong, we'll change. Whatever we owe you, we'll make up for."

"You'll never be able to make up for it!" Demi said coldly.

Thomas fell silent again.

"So, you're never going back?" Thomas asked.

He didn't believe that Demi would never return. To him, it seemed like she was just upset and would calm down eventually.

"When this show is over, you're coming back with me. Don't let some trivial matters destroy the family bond between us," Thomas said sincerely.

"Trivial matters?" Demi couldn't help but laugh. "You keep saying you want me to return, but what's in it for me? Concern from my family? The warmth of family? That's clearly not happening! Money? I already have my own! You wouldn't even spend it on me! Social status? I can earn that on my own!

Daniel instinctively reached out to stop her, hoping for one more chance to talk.

Just then, Ana's shrill, terrified scream rang out from the entrance of the cave.

"Annie!" Both Thomas and Daniel's faces turned pale, and they rushed to the entrance in alarm.

Ana stood at the cave's entrance, trembling. Her eyes were wide with shock as she stared at the man leaning against the stone wall of the cave.

It was Felix.

Ana, who was crouching at the entrance, saw Demi approaching and turned to leave. But, out of nowhere, she caught sight of Felix.

Daniel frowned, displeased, and questioned Felix, "Uh, Mr. Harrington, we were having a private conversation. How could you eavesdrop?"
