Chapter 839

Audrina's eyes turned even redder in an instant, as if she had been greatly wronged. "If you don't want me to continue being friends with Poppy, just say it straight. You don't have to embarrass me like this in public. I really don't know what you're talking about."

Sylvia sneered coldly. If she didn't have the evidence in her hand, she would have been fooled by Audrina's performance.

This woman had a delicate face but was doing dirty things and thought she could get away with it. It made people feel uncomfortable all over.

"Miss Pierce, let's cut to the chase. You fabricated two shocking scandals just to ruin Poppy's career, right?"

"Do you think that by ruining Poppy's career, you can smoothly take her place?"

"No way! Not now or ever!"

"Miss Andrews, do you think that because you are more famous than me and talented too that you can bully me like this?" Audrina was so sad and upset that she almost collapsed. She also looked at Eden sorrowfully as if begging him for mercy.

She was already slim-bodied; now pretending to be the victim made many men couldn't help but look at her twice.

But... no one dared to speak up for her.

Since Sylvia said there was evidence then there must be evidence 100%. She had never been someone who intentionally framed others!

So... everyone sympathized with Audrina. They felt sorry for how foolish she was for daring to provoke Poppy!

Audrina believed herself and didn't think Sylvia had gotten something on her.

At the beginning of school year when Audrina pretended all along that she was good friends with Poppy while secretly infiltrating into Poppy's fan group.

After infiltrating, her original intention was to dig up some dirt on Poppy and possibly sell it to paparazzi for a quick buck.

However, no matter how she tried to contact Poppy's fans online, she never leaked any information.

She continued to go undercover and lurk around for several months, but realized that she could not obtain any information. Eventually, she decided to take a different approach and become a senior member of Poppy's fan club, with the expectation that it would give her access to more insider secrets.

She continued to work closely with the fan club president, with the goal of finding some information about Poppy.

After waiting for a long time, her chance finally arrived.

"The filming of 'The Beggarly Girl Is A Noble Lady' is coming to an end, and fans are discussing ways to support it."

She immediately showed her respect to the president and gained the right to use money to buy gifts.

She thinks she does everything perfectly.

In the fan club, she used her roommate's ID information and left a small number for her phone number. She purchased the phone number using her roommate's ID.

And all of this, roommate Lorelei Whitehead has no idea.

Lorelei is a scatterbrain who always loses things, so when the opportunity arose, she managed to get hold of Lorelei's ID card.

After taking the photo, she quietly returned the ID card to Lorelei's drawer.

She did all of this without anyone noticing.

Why did Sylvia say she had evidence in her hands?

She must be deceiving herself, cheating herself!

After recalling her experience of joining the fan club, Audrina became more convinced that Sylvia had no evidence in her hands.

Sylvia glanced at Audrina's tear-stained face and sighed. "It seems like you really won't give up until you see the evidence," she said, uninterested in engaging in further conversation with Audrina.

Then she projected her phone screen onto the large screen behind her.

"Oh my god! What is this?"

"Is this... a chat record?"

"How come there's still a WIFI address?"

Audrina listened to the discussions of the people around her, and her heart pounded rapidly. Her hands were tightly clenched, with long nails almost crushing her palms.

She took a deep breath and suddenly turned around, only to see the chat record on the big screen.

How could Lorelei be here?

Audrina widened her eyes in shock as she saw a woman walking out from among the crowd; tall with long legs who looked very delicate - It was none other than Lorelei - Poppy's roommate!

Lorelei pointed angrily at Audrina while scolding. "Audrina! I treated you so well usually; how could you steal my ID card? You even applied for a cell number using my identity! If Miss Andrews hadn't found out about it until now I would still be kept in dark by now! You have no shame!"

"That phone number clearly belongs to you, how can you say that I stole it? I helped you pay your phone bill and you didn't even thank me. You even teamed up with Miss Andrews to falsely accuse me. Lorelei, I am so disappointed in you," Audrina said, playing the victim as tears streamed down her face.

"Lorelei, I know that your relationship with Poppy is better than ours, but there's no need for both of you to exclude me like this. And Miss Andrews, why do you have to pick on someone weaker than yourself? Don't you think it's unfair?" Poppy's worldview was shattered by Audrina's shamelessness.

Lorelei was tongue-tied and couldn't argue back against Audrina. She could only dryly retort. "You have no shame."

"Am I the one without shame? You three always gang up on me just because my family background isn't as good as yours or because I don't have money like all of you do. Do we really need to be like this?" Audrina wiped away her tears and put on a brave face. "If none of you can accept me then maybe it's time for me to leave."

"I feel sorry for what happened to such a promising young woman," Sylvia shook her head in disappointment at Audrina's behavior."We're already at this point and yet she still refuses to take responsibility and instead pushes all the blame onto others."

"Why waste time talking with her? Just shut her down!" Franklin had long been fed up with Audrina's constant crying fits; she had bad character traits coupled with an ugly appearance.

Sylvia looked at Franklin, her gaze trying to calm him down, as his impatience was evident in his eyes. "You said you helped Lorelei pay her phone bills, but why is her SIM card in your phone?" she asked.

"What are y'all trying to do?"Audrina instinctively tried running away.

But Logan and Jasper quickly stepped forward; their movements were lightning fast. One restrained struggling Audrina while another snatched away her cellphone from her hand before removing its SIM card.

"This phone has dual-SIM capability, and one of these cards belongs under Lorelei's name, "Sylvia held up one of them. "Audriana, wanna say something else?"

"It was Lorelei. She asked me to help her with her SIM card. Her phone only takes one." Audrina struggled to defend herself, but at that moment, Lorelei couldn't take it anymore. She walked up to her and slapped her across the face.

"I have never met such a shameless woman like you! If you keep slandering me, I'll make sure you regret it!"

Audrina's face swelled up from the slap, and she screamed in pain. "Lorelei, you bitch! How dare you hit me!"

"If you keep talking trash about me, I'll hit you again! If Miss Andrews hadn't cleared my name, I would still be taking the blame for your mistakes!"
