Chapter 884 novel After divorce, Ex-wife Revealed Identities
Sylvia remained silent, listening quietly as Darius educated the two women. She didn't know what to say at this point.
"At the H Rovirsa International Airshow years ago, he led a team that performed aerial typing and stunned the world. Unfortunately... he disappeared later on," Darius explained.
Jasper chimed in, "They say his code name in the military was R. He was really amazing during our time at H Rovirsa International Airshow."
"Geniuses like him wouldn't just disappear without a trace from the Empire, right?" Isabelle furrowed her brows with regret and sadness for this legendary figure who vanished.
"Yeah! Mr. Smith even admitted himself that this young man didn't perish but simply disappeared," Darius looked towards Sylvia again. "He said it in front of Miss Andrews too."
Sylvia was suddenly interrupted by a magnetic voice asking, "What are you guys talking about?"
She lifted her gaze and saw Franklin approaching them with confident strides. His stern face softened into a faint smile when he laid eyes on her, drawing many people's attention.
He looked at Sylvia not far away from him under the light - she was stunningly beautiful with fair skin, almond-shaped eyes and cherry lips - always carrying an enchanting charm around her.
He walked up to her and took hold of her hand domineeringly saying. "I'll take you to see Russia's new fighter jets as well as their latest stealth drones over there."
Isabelle wasn't interested in airshows but Sylvia found it fascinating; she would discuss aviation topics with Franklin every now and then. Both Darius and Franklin noticed that she had unique insights into aviation knowledge which seemed no less than theirs.
The last performance by an aerobatic team happened to be H Rovirsa's; however without their leader R leading them this year they were far less impressive than before despite still performing aerial typing tricks like before.
Darius sighed deeply along with Jasper feeling somewhat regretful. "If only R were still here... our Empire's air force would definitely not be inferior compared to Aettosa's since they have Hipps family whose talents are particularly outstanding when it comes to aviation."
Jasper spoke up, "I thought R would stay in our country during that year's air show, but he disappeared. And what about this aerial typing performance today? It's not as good as previous years..."
Franklin remained silent and held onto Sylvia's waist. He glanced at the darkening sky and asked, "What do you want to eat? There isn't much nearby so let's just eat here."
Sylvia wasn't interested in anything in particular.
They went to a high-end Western restaurant together. However, they saw Brian and a young woman inside - she had blonde hair and blue eyes with long wavy hair cascading down her back. She was passionate and her voluptuous figure was very eye-catching.
The woman looked up by chance when Franklin entered the restaurant with his group of friends.
She exclaimed softly, "Franklin!"
Then she stood up and walked towards them with an enchanting gaze fixed on Franklin. Her face was hotly flushed with thin skin that seemed almost unable to hold back any longer.
But... Franklin remained expressionless without any reaction towards her. He gave her a glance before saying calmly, "Miss Amelia."
Amelia is Brian's daughter who grew up sheltered from the world like honey in a jar.
Franklin led Sylvia over to Brian while greeting him politely. "Mr. Brian, we meet again."
Brian was also surprised but smiled at the two of them. "Franklin, Mrs. Maskelyne - hello."
Darius and Isabelle also came over to greet Brian warmly.
Brian seemed very happy. "Darius, is this your wife? She is just as beautiful as Mrs. Maskelyne - both are beauties!"
Amelia only noticed Sylvia who had been holding onto Franklin all along now; there was a hint of coldness in her gaze when she looked at Sylvia but it quickly vanished before anyone could catch it...
"Both ladies are stunning," Amelia said politely before sitting down at her own seat.
The atmosphere during dinner appeared relaxed and enjoyable on the surface; however, Sylvia didn't miss Amelia's lingering gazes fixed on Franklin throughout their meal.
"Mrs. Maskelyne comes from which family?" Although Amelia appeared curious, she couldn't hide the disdainful look in her eyes. She must be someone from an insignificant family background since H Rovirsa has many high-ranking officials and nobles whom she knows well, but never heard of anyone surnamed Andrews."
Sure enough, she heard Sylvia chuckle and reply, "The Andrews Group is not worth mentioning."
Amelia gave Franklin a meaningful glance. "I always thought Franklin would marry someone from a powerful family! I never expected him to choose someone like..."
She paused before continuing, "... Mrs. Maskelyne. It seems that Franklin and Mrs. Maskelyne are truly in love!"
Franklin's cold gaze swept over Amelia's self-righteous face. "My wife and I are sincerely in love, and it has nothing to do with any interests. So... some self-proclaimed heiresses from big families who think they're above everyone else can't catch my eye no matter what."
She kept telling herself that she was an aristocrat and not like these two women from small families.
I'm not on their level.
The world finally quieted down as Sylvia and Isabelle smiled at each other and clinked glasses in silent agreement. Happy cooperation!
Amelia maintained her elegant posture sitting next to Brian with all the grace of a wealthy heiress. Occasionally her gaze fell upon Franklin with a hint of infatuation but she never again spoke or did anything outrageous in order to attract his attention.
In the middle of everything Sylvia went off for a trip to the bathroom only coming out later seeing Amelia standing by the door waiting for her.
Sylvia looked surprised but had no intention of dealing with this woman.
But then Amelia stopped her blocking off access into the restroom area while crossing both arms across herself showing off dark purple nails reflecting evil light under bright lights.
"Mrs. Maskelyne," she sneered at Sylvia, "a woman like you doesn't deserve Mr. Bao at all; I suggest you have some self-awareness before leaving him."
Sylvia glanced over at her drying hands under one of those hand dryers before asking. "Do you think you're good enough for him?"
"He looks at you so fondly - what about me? You don't deserve him either!" Amelia spat back angrily "He needs someone who can help him."
Sylvia almost laughed - this girl knew full well that Franklin had never given her more than one Amelia
"If you want him then go after him directly instead of saying these things here," Sylvia yawned feeling bored by now.
But considering that she is Franklin's business partner's daughter, Sylvia just walked around Amelia, trying to leave quick without another word spoken between them both.
But Amelia grabbed her arm, her eyes filled with madness. "I love him, I have loved him for a long time! He wants to marry me, but he's with you! Why? I won't accept it!"
This woman was braver and more daring than Darcie.
"Even if he doesn't love me, so what? I still want him!" Amelia smirked arrogantly, her seductive face exuding wild arrogance. "How can you compare to my family background? With just one word from my dad, he will cancel the cooperation and leave you to marry me!"
