"What did you make? It smells amazing," she asked, leaning against the doorframe.

Aaron, startled, turned to see her standing there with bright, eager eyes.

He set down the spatula and strode over, lifting her up effortlessly and placing her in a chair by the dining table.

"Stay put and stop getting in my way," he ordered, bracing one hand on the chair and leaning in close to her face.

After a brief pause, he gave her a quick kiss on the lips before returning to the kitchen.

Selena blinked, stunned.

She eagerly grabbed her phone to take pictures and post them on social media. But when she glanced up, she caught Aaron glaring at her darkly.
