In the open gazebo, Paul and Sam were sitting on the ground with Miranda in between them. 

Sam had dozed off, his head drooping down. From Hansel’s angle, it looked like he was resting on Miranda’s shoulder. 

Paul also had his eyes closed, but his posture was more composed than Sam’s. He supported his head with one hand, though his shoulder was pressed against Miranda’s. 

It wasn’t that he was trying to take advantage of her, but to provide support for the sleeping Miranda. 

Even though Paul was asleep, he didn’t dare relax his shoulder and maintained his position. Late in the night, Sam even felt pity for him and offered to switch places, but Paul said, “There’s no need; she’s light.” 

Sam was speechless. This guy knew how to hold a grudge! 

All three of them were fully dressed, and there was no inappropriate physical contact, but the sight of the three of them exuded an inexplicable air of intimacy and romance. 

Although Miranda’s fever had subsided, her face was still slightly flushed. At that moment, she was sleeping peacefully…. 

To a jealous man, even the simplest things could trigger feelings of betrayal.

Hansel rushed up to them with reddened eyes and pulled her from between the two men. He hugged the still–unconscious Miranda in his arms. “Miranda, wake up! Miranda, say something!” 

Sam and Paul weren’t in a deep sleep. They woke up as soon as they heard Hansel’s footsteps approaching. Yet, they couldn’t stop him in time. 

Hansel’s actions were rough as he pulled Miranda away, barely concealing his possessiveness over her.

Sam got up and grabbed Miranda from him. He cursed “Are you crazy? Can’t you see how weak she is? She was caught in the rain and injured last night. We barely managed to lower her temperature. If you want to go crazy, go elsewhere!” 

Hansel fixed a cold glare on him as he growled, “What exactly happened last night? Why were the three of you sleeping together?”
