As soon as the apartment door was shut, the couple started kissing again when their eyes met. They were tangled together as they made their way to the bedroom. 

Clothes were strewn across the floor, but neither of them cared. 

An hour later, Winter got up and headed to the bathroom. Her every move and expression exuded a seducing allure. 

Zach was leaning against the headboard with his toned chest on display. “Where are you going?” 

“I’m going to take a shower.” 

“Don’t go. Stay here with me a

Winter was already dressed in her clothes from earlier after coming out of the shower. Zach’s expression changed instantly, and he bolted upright from the bed when she picked up her bag. The smug look he had on his face moments ago was replaced with utter disbelief. 

“Don’t tell me you’re leaving now?” 

She nodded. “Yeah.” She had work tomorrow and needed a new change of clothes. 

“What do you take me for?” Zach asked, his tone somber.

Winter raised an eyebrow and turned to him in surprise. Zach got out of bed and approached her with deliberate footsteps, “You sleep with me and leave right after? Are you treating my place like a hotel? Do you think I’m a gigolo?” 

Winter tried to explain patiently, “That’s not what I 

“Bullshit!” he interrupted, “You’re just using me for fun, aren’t you?” He still felt unsatisfied after saying that and kicked over the ottoman at the foot of the bed with a loud bang. 

Winter’s eyes turned cold at that moment. She was going to explain nicely, but some people just didn’t deserve it. “Do you think you’re a big shot or something?” 

Zach was taken aback by her tone. 

“I don’t care if you think of yourself as a gigolo, but I’m not paying for your services.” 

Zach’s lips quivered as he trembled with rage. 

Winter continued, “We agreed to keep up the act of being a couple in public while being friends with benefits in private. With your vast experience of sleeping around, I’m sure you know what that means, right? 

“You’re a free man, and I’m also unattached. No one is responsible for anyone else. I leave when I want, and I stay when I wish. I thought we had an understanding. Don’t you agree, Mr. Graham?” 

After all his years of being a playboy, Zach had always been the one warning women to behave and not overstep their boundaries. Yet, the tables had turned. He found himself on the receiving end of the lecture by a woman this time. 

He defended himself, “Winter, all I wanted was for you to stay a little longer so that we could talk more. Did you really have to tear into me so harshly like this?”
