Elizabeth hadn’t expected it to be this easy. 

The day after returning from Liloria to Jandersville, Paul had called to inform her to prepare for the summit in Moonville. 

Elizabeth didn’t know what Bryan had said to Paul or how he managed to grant her this opportunity by bypassing Sandy. Nonetheless, she didn’t care. 

All she knew was that for the next three days, she would finally have the chance to spend all day with Paul! 

Initially, Elizabeth wasn’t in a hurry. After all, she had plenty of time and opportunities to develop a relationship with Paul in the lab. There was no need to follow him to Moonville. However, it seemed that Paul had been intentionally distancing himself from her over the past six months for some reason. 

It was fine when they were interacting as a group. He treated everyone equally, herself included. 

But whenever they were alone, he would deliberately avoid her. He always found an excuse or reason to decline being in the same space. 

Elizabeth panicked. She had an unsettling feeling that if this continued, Paul would only drift further and further away from her. If she didn’t take action, she might lose her chance entirely. So, she had to come on this trip! 

Elizabeth clenched her fists as she looked in the direction Paul and Miranda had left. A look of determination flashed in her eyes, as if she had just made up her mind. 

The next day, the conference officially began. The venue was the Moonville Conference Hall right next to the hotel. 

The invited guests began arriving at 8:00 am, and the forum commenced at 9:00 am. 

The host took the stage. After giving a brief opening speech, the lectures began. Paul was

“Dr. Dunn going first on stage makes perfect sense. No one has any objection. But Paul being second in line… What order is this? There are other senior figures like Dr. Zayne and Dr. Wolfer coming after him.”
