Everyone was puzzled by Sofia’s strange behavior and followed her gaze. As they did, their expressions shifted to mirror Sofia’s in shock. 

How did he get here? 

Isabel rose slowly, her eyes locked on Xander, who stood in the doorway. 

The man wore a dark gray coat, his straight trousers standing firm and strong like century–old pines. 

Snowflakes, not yet fully melted, clung to his head and shoulders. Upon closer inspection, one could see that his long, thick lashes were speckled with snowflakes, highlighting just how strikingly long they were. 

So handsome! These two words lingered in the minds of everyone present. 

It didn’t matter whether they were male or female; this had nothing to do with gender. 

He was just so handsome, he could outshine everything–sky, earth, sun, and moon! 

While everyone was mesmerized, Isabel caught a glimpse of Isabel slowly walking toward the man by the door. 

Seeing this, many, led by Sofia, couldn’t help but look down on her in their minds. 

How pathetic! She can’t even walk when she sees a handsome guy. 

Such a disgrace to women! 

Before they could finish their judgment, Isabel stepped up to the man, gently brushing the snowflakes from his head and shoulders. 

“It’s snowing outside?” 

“Yeah, light snow. Quite beautiful.” 

Their conversation was simple and ordinary, yet in that moment, it felt unexpectedly warm and harmonious. 

“It quickly became evident to everyone that Isabel and the stunningly handsome man not only knew each other but their relationship seemed far from ordinary. 

“Why are you here?” Isabel asked, confused. 

Yvette raised her hand. “I told him you were having dinner here.”
