However, all I heard on the other end was a cold, automated voice: “Sorry, the number you dialed is 

unavailable 

Disappointed. I put my phone down. Henry tried to reassure me, “Don’t worry, Boss. Once she settles in, she’ll definitely contact you” 

If this were the Christine I knew before the memory loss, I was sure she would have contacted me 

But now, with her memories gone, had our friendship truly ended?
