~ Althea

Six months later.

I stand at the window, staring out toward the backyard. Landon I recently moved here, after his father came back. It's been six months since I was announced not guilty at court.

Things have been simple; Landon, myself and our baby living in a smaller home in the middle of the densest forest in the Power Pack. It's safer here, where Landon can continue his Alpha duties without the risk of his father intruding on our relation.

My hand reaches up, blow drying the mark upon my neck. I shiver as I touch it, thinking of Coen. Rejecting him is something I had to do. I was right when I assumed I was pregnant with Landon's child. It just wouldn't be fair on Coen to raise another mans child.

And anyone, I'm in love with Landon.

"Admiring the view?" I feel a warm pair of arms wrap around my waist, large hands caressing my large stomach.

"Thinking," I say, leaning my head back onto Landon's chest. He kisses my cheek, also looking out at the backyard.

I twist in his grip, so I face. He's dressed like he's going some sort of raid. He's got his dark clothes on, which suggest some sort of Alpha duty.

"Going somewhere?" I ask. He nods, ruffling my hair.

"I am. Someone spotted Alpha Kaden's car drive into our territory. Thought I better go check it out," he murmurs.

"I had really hoped you'd come back with me to estate to collect the rest of our stuff ... Before your father comes back," I say with a sigh.
