I look between Malachi and Cypress, confused. "Who says they want to talk, but then run off?" I sigh, turning around to walk back inside when my mother mind links me. “Chloe, please meet me tonight, at the creek near the forest when the moon is at its highest,” she asks. I stop walking and look around, searching the area but can't spot her. “Fine,” I tell her in my head as I continue inside.

I spend most of the day preparing things for the Aberdeen ball, calling catering companies, and setting up the decorations. I'm putting lights up around the dining hall rafters, standing on a ladder, when Eric the Omega comes in. I turn in his direction. "Hey Eric," I greet him then bring my focus back to the lights. Eric comes over to me with a smile. "Here, let me hold the ladder," He insists, putting one hand on the ladder then proceeds to place his other on my ass. I turn around so fast I almost lose my balance. "WHAT THE HELL ERIC!!" I growl, but before I can smack the shit out of him, Malachi snatches him up by his throat.

"What the hell do you think you are doing?" Malachi snarls, glaring into Eric's soul like he will rip it from him in a matter of seconds. "I'm sorry, my hand slipped Alpha," Eric says, stuttering his words from fear. Malachi’s chest puffs out in anger. "You dare lie to me," He ask darkly as his grip tightens around Eric’s throat. "No, Alpha, I swear it was an accident," Eric gasps, trying to catch his breath. "I don't believe you, Eric. I watched the whole thing, and I suggest you run home now before I change my mind and snap your neck" Malachi threatens in a deep voice, not taking his eyes from Eric’s.

Malachi drops Eric and watches him run for the door. I look at Malachi, who is focusing on me now. "Well, I didn't see that coming," I whistle, going back to my light hanging. "Has Eric hit on you before?" Malachi questions with a stern gaze. "No wolfman, he hasn't," I reply, not turning back to face him.

Malachi huffs like he is irritated, "Why does your ass attract everyone, damn it" He growls, taking a deep breath. I giggle, turning to look at him. "You are sexy when you're jealous, Mr. Alpha," I say, watching him roll his eyes, still annoyed with the situation. "Oh, come on, wolfman. He is just a kid. Please don't kill him for being a teenager. I was going to give him a little smack, but you were going to rip his head off," I tell him, turning back to my decorating.

Amelia walks in with the arrangements for the tables. "Hey Amelia, you shouldn't be carrying that! Malachi, help her," I demand, giving him the Luna command look. He sighs, rolling his eyes again, and walks to Amelia, taking the box of arrangements from her and carries it to a nearby table. Malachi sits the box down so Amelia can start placing the glass vases with navy blue ribbons tied in a bow on each table. "Aww, you're such a good boy. Does the big bad wolf want a treat" I tease in a cute voice like I'm talking to a puppy. I start laughing.

Malachi runs for me, grabbing me off the ladder and throws me over his shoulder. "Hey, let me down I'm not finished with these lights," I say, laughing. "You've been asking for it since I walked in the room," Malachi says, smacking my ass. I squeal out of surprise. "Amelia, help me!" I say through my laughter. Amelia looks at me with a knowing smirk. "I am staying out of this," She says with her hands raised. "So much for being best friends since elementary school," I say, giving her a playful glare, as Malachi walks out of the door towards the stairs.

"Where are you taking me, Mr. Alpha? You know that I can walk, right?” I declare with a giggle. “Oh, nevermind. I don't really mind it now," I say, enjoying the view of his toned back as my hands run over his body. I might as well enjoy it since I'm stuck here. Malachi slaps my ass again, and it echoes through the hallway. The maid walks out of a nearby room, "Hello Mrs. Harrington," I wave, giggling as Malachi walks past her to our door.
