"I'm sorry, but we need to go," Dad said taking Mom's hand to guide her away. They left me alone at the table and the bill. I laugh they really are Fay's parents, they ate everything! I ordered at least $100 worth of food.
Fay and Lydia came back shortly after. Fay looked nervous and I wondered what they talked about.
"Hey!" Katie shouted at my distracted self.
"What?"
"Ummmm you're paying for the bill I left my wallet at the apartment."
"Fine..." I sighed.
"Lydia are you OK? You seem distraught." Jason asked.
"I'm fine," She sharply replied.
"Guy's are we leaving now?" Zane questions with Celia in his arms.
"Yes" Everyone says except for Fay.
"Wait! I got no FOOD!" She wailed. We all laugh at it.
Fay
Everyone but Ash and I were leaving. He watched me eat and I was a little creeped out. I mean its nice he he likes to watch me consume food but him looking at me is causing me to not focus on he deliciousness of my food.
"Ash can you do something? Trying to eat here and you staring at me is not helping," I say frankly worried that he would take it the wrong way.
"OK. Anything you want," He responds. "I'll just take a walk outside. I'll be back in 20 minutes."
After he left I ended up finishing my food in 10 minutes. Lots of creepy guys were staring at me and I took it as a time to leave sign. I paid for my food and briskly walked out looking for Ash.
I caught his scent and followed it. For the first few minutes I was happy and my mind was in a state of peace, but then my stomach dropped.
Why does this feel familiar? Have I been here before? This is crazy. Suddenly I realized why I had a bad feeling. This is it. It has to be. As if right on que, I saw a shadow streak from the forest behind the restaurant.
I was scared.
"Fay?" The shadow asked. My body calmed reconizing Ash's voice.
"Yes. Its me,"
"DON'T! STAY BACK! You can't help me. No one can!" Her eyes were wild fleeting everywhere.
"I can help you. Please Grace," I pleaded.
Her eyes softened and I saw her sanity flicker in her face. I realized I could save her. Her wolf was slowly taking her body over. That's why she is going crazy. Her human side was giving up the fight and was being converted into a monster.
"I can save Ash." My heart lifted as I realized that maybe my premonition was wrong. "But you need to help me find the truth."
My heart sunk and I nodded.
She walked over towards Ash and I and I knew that this was the only way to save him.
"Promise me that you'll come with me? Promise to cut your mind links with everyone. To shift your loyalty to me and only me?"
"Yes. But if you hurt anyone that I love my loyalty is void."
She chuckles an agreement.
From her pocket white gloves appear. Ash's condition was worsening by the minute as he became pale. I heard a groan of agony and I knew that Ash was saved. In her white bloody hand was the bullet. I could tell the Ash was healing and the wound would close in a mater of minutes.
