MADELEINE

I felt him. I don’t know why I feel him like this, but I know he is coming, and I know he is close by. Dad is frustrated. He is an Alpha, and being on the run is so un-Alpha-like that it hurts his pride. Blaise is frustrated, too. He is the pack's next Alpha and just saw that his future is being taken away. I know nothing I say will help, so I say nothing.

I feel the king so close now, and then we hear paws, and I get excited, thinking it must be him. We are saved. I stand up, and so do Dad and Blaise, and I am just about to tell them not to attack when the door is kicked up.

Horror fills my heart and head when I see it is the rouge leader, not the king. I back up behind my Dad and brother because I know it is me he wants. I search my mind, feel for the king in my mind, and call for help.

“Did you really think you could keep hiding?” The rouge leader said.

“Leave. You already destroyed our home. Leave us be. We are no treat for you now.” Dad tells him

“Oh, but I can not possibly leave my young mate.” The rouge says.

“She is not your mate, and you know it. So leave and let her find her true mate.” Dad growls.

“No, I need her. She will be treated well as long she does as told.” The rouge says, looking at me with hungry eyes.

“I will never let you take her,” Dad growls, and then they attack each other.

‘Help, I know you here, I can feel you, I have been feeling you for days if you hear me. He is here. He has found us. Please help, save us.’ I try to say in my mind that I am not at all sure it will work, but I have to try, and I am shocked when he answers.

‘I am coming. I am on my way.’ His powerful voice says in my head.

Fuck, fuck, fuck. I look at the warriors, and I know they can handle the rouges outside, but maybe more is coming now he found them.

‘Dad, Enzo. I found them. But the rouges leader are here. I’m sure more is coming.’ I say

‘We are on our way.’ They both tell me, and I send them my location. And change to my human form.

Growls and small screams reach me, and I know I can not wait. I growl, let my powers free, and my aura spread over the area. Then, I start moving. I run towards the cottage and kill two rouges who try to stop me.

I kick the already broken door so it breaks completely. Inside, I see a guy around my age a woman who is trying to shield a young woman. Then I see Alpha Louis barely standing but refusing to give up.
