I lead Madeleine over to the bed in my tent and make her sit down, she are shaken up by what happened. I kneel down in front of her, take her hands in mine, and caress them softly. And we sit like this for a long time while she goes through her feelings and thoughts.

“I never seen my father like that.” She whispers.

“Your dad has been through a lot. He felt the pain and the death of over half of your pack. He saw you almost being forced to be another wolf’s mate. Something that would have broken our bond before we had the chance to build it up.” I tell her softly.

She nods her head but does not answer for a long time, and her next words surprise me.

“I am ready to leave this place. Ready to be with you.” She says as she raises her head and looks into my eyes.

“Me too. I look forward to you meeting my Mom and sisters.” I tell her and it makes her smile a little.

I have not yet asked her about the rumors about whether she is one of the moon goodness’s special wolves. But I know I need to ask her at some point, but I don’t want to pressure her. So I reach up and caress her face, wanting to comfort her.

“It will be okay, and I know a big responsibility comes with being with me. But I am also still learning, so we will learn together. I know already you have a good warm loving heart. And that is good enough for me.” I tell her softly, and she smiles a little.

“You have a good heart, too.” She answers, and I chuckle.

“Not everyone will agree with that,” I say and smile.

We sit here for a while, just looking at each other, and I can’t help but think about how soft her lips are looking. I have yet not kissed her, because I know she going through a lot right now. But I slowly get closer to her giving her a chance to stop me, but she doesn’t.

Our lips meet, and a surge of sparks and magical feelings rushes through me. I pull back just enough for my forehead to rest on hers and look into her eyes. She blushes and I smile gently, holding her face in my hands. Then I kiss her again, longer this time and a little more passionately.

A small soft moan of pleasure comes from her while I kiss her, and I lose a little of my control. I pull her closer so she is no longer on the bed but sits on me on the floor. She automatically tries to get closer, and I hold her close in my arms while our lips and tongues taste each other.

She slowly and carefully, as if she is not sure if it will be okay, put her fingers into my hair trying, to get even closer to me. I growled softly, and it startled her a little. Then, she pulled away from me, blushing heavily.
