It had been two days, and Madeleine stretched in my arms as she woke up. Her body felt like her normal temperature, so I knew her heat had to be over. She turned to look at me and smiled when she saw I was awake.

“Good morning.” She said, kissing me. Then, her eyes looked surprised.

“The heat is over.” She whispers, and I smile at her.

“Yes, are you feeling okay?” I ask her, and she smiles.

“Yes, just tired.” She answers.

“You can rest today,” I tell her.

“Thank you.” She says as I get out of bed.

“I will make sure someone comes with food to you, and I will just go see Dad and check what has been going on for the last few days,” I tell her as I get dressed.

I needed to talk to Dad, and something was going on. I had felt it the night before something was wrong.

“Okay, thank you.” She says, smiling at me.

I sit on the bed, bend to her, and kiss her softly, caressing her face. Then I stood up and walked home to Dad and Mom.

I walked I to the house, and Mom came out of the kitchen. Most people didn’t believe it when they heard the queen liked to cook.

“Noah, is it over?” She asked me, surprised.

“Hey, Mom. Yes, the heat is gone. Kendra was right about the injection.

“Good, your Dad and Kyle took Enzo out for a run along the borders,” Mom tells me.

“Okay, thank you, mom. I will find them. I asked Kendra to check on Maddy to make sure she was okay. And ordered some food to be sent over there.” I tell her, and she smiles.

“I am so proud of you, my son. You have grown a lot since you found out about Madeleine. I know your Dad is very proud, too. Remember to rest, too. The heat isn’t just hard on the female.” Mom tells me.

“I will, Mom. I want to check up on everything.” I tell her, and she smiles.

“Okay Then. See you soon, my Son.” Mom says, and I leave the house.

‘Find them.’ I tell Lucian, And we shift into his form.

‘Easy.’ He says and starts running.
