NOAH
I walk into the building where Carter's warrior showed me an Enzo too. It is not very big, but I can see it has four prison cells.
We could hear the painful growls and whimpers from one of the cells, and we found Carter beating a rouge. Wolves heal fast, so conflicting pain is easy and almost never kills us. So we watched. But after standing here looking for twenty minutes, knowing Carter had been here for at least two hours with no result.
“Alpha,” I say, and Carter turns to me.
“My king. He is a stubborn one.” He answers, and I nod my head.
“I can make him obey, but I need everyone else out of this cell,” I say, not wanting to hurt anyone innocent.
“Everyone, out.” He says, and everyone except Enzo leaves, and I look at him.
“I am staying.” He says, and I know it is pointless to discuss it. So I nod my head.
I walk to the bound rouge and decide to give him a chance to talk. One last chance before he feels his mind, will, and loyalty to whoever he works for is destroyed.
“I am sure you know who I am. So I will say this just once. Tell us what we want to know, or you will feel pain like nothing you ever have imagined.” I tell him.
“You don’t scare me, pup.” The wolf sneers.
I look at him, and I know he won’t talk. I turn and look at the wolves outside the cell.
“There is a chance that some of my aura will reach you. I am still learning to control the power I was given. I apologize in advance to anyone who wants to leave this building. Do it now.” I say, but I get surprised to see all of them bow for me, and then they don’t stay.
I turn to the rouge, and I carefully let my aura out. I can feel it, see it slowly flowing out from me, and slowly get closer to the rouge. Everyone sees it, and I hear a warrior whisper, “What the fuck" and Carter shushing him. The rouge looks at it, and I see his eyes starting to flick between his and his wolf’s.
I can feel the wolf trying to get control, not wanting to defy its king. But his human is more stupid. I reach out to the wolf spirits in him and try to protect it from the pain that will come. And then the man screamed. My aura wraps itself around him, and I feel it enter into his mind and soul.
I am happy to find out he doesn’t have a mate, so I at least don’t hurt her either. I register a whimper from his wolf and concentrate harder on protecting it. The last thing I want to do is hurt a wolf spirit.
The man screams in pain, and I know he feels ruined in a million pieces right now.
“Stop… please stop, I will tell you! I will talk. Please stop.” He screams, and I pull my aura back slowly so as not to lose control.
