As we left the restaurant I heard several women say. Well, there goes one rich handsome man off the market now that he is engaged. Several men said he is one lucky bastard. To have that woman in his bed, I wish I was him. Then we heard ouch that hurt. We laughed as we got outside and walked over to our car. Braden was holding my hand as he drove out of the city. "He said, Cat I was sweating for awhile". I asked why? "I hoped you wouldn't say no to marrying me." I looked at him and said, Braden, you have made me very happy and you have shown that I can trust a man again. "He said", looking at me. Cat, I am not a man who would cheat. Mates are very precious to our breeds and we can't understand how wolfs can do that. "I sighed and said", neither do I. I saved myself for my mate but it wasn't enough. "Cat, you are enough for me and never doubt that. I don't need another woman in my bed. You make me happy and satisfy in every way."

As we arrived at the house and stepped out of the car I felt a sting in my back. I looked at Braden as I started to fall. He grabbed me running with me toward the door. I heard him yelling guards get out there and find the son of a bitch who shot my mate. He then screamed for the doctor to get over to his house. I was starting to find it difficult to breathe. "He was screaming Cat don't you give up on me. Stay with me." The doctor arrived with oxygen and I was carried to the medical room. He pulled the dart out and took blood samples. He ran my medical records to see if I was allergic to anything. "The doctor said", I have some kind of poison going through my system and he doesn't know what it is. Lance, Lisa, and Riker ran into the room. Braden then looked at Lance and said, get some men over and go through Amy's room. Lance took off running and saying in his phone get to my sister's room now. I want to know what is in her room. As Lance got them and he entered Amy's room he could not believe what he saw. He asked, how the hell did she bring these animals out of the country's they had been at without the team knowing about it? He instructed that a truck be brought to the apartments and all of the cages, aquariums, and tanks be loaded and taken to the house for the doctor to come out and look at. Then we will find out what Braden wants to be done with them.

Poison dart frog was one of the frogs the doctor found. "He said", The golden poison frog is considered one of the most toxic animals on Earth. A single specimen measuring two inches has enough venom to kill ten grown men. Doc stated that he has something for this in the office. He decided to test to see if this is the poison used. He ran back in and began testing Cat's blood. He had something that would stop the poison from going through her system. Braden then said. I have a building about five miles from here. I want these things taken there until I can get in contact with someone to come and get them. I want it locked and guarded at all times. He then called Lance and they walked to the cells.

As they entered the cell's "Brandon looked at Amy and said. I want to know who is helping you attempt to kill my mate?" She grinned and said, I don't know what you are talking about. " I said," well then just so you know you will have a trial in the morning and your peers will decide if you should die or be placed at my special prison. Her face turned white and she pleaded with her brother not to do this. "She yelled" , Lance you know Braden is my mate. "Braden said" if I wasn't Cat's mate how would I be able to have mated and marked her and my barb come out during sexual intercourse. Her face then went very white and "she said no, that can't be". "I said, yes, it did." So therefore as a Lion, I can only mate once in a lifetime. I contacted Randle and asked him to set up a hearing regarding Amy in the morning with her peers. He agreed. Amy sat down after they left and said to herself. I am never going to have Braden as my mate. I can't believe that he actually matted with her. I also know that most of my peers hate me. I was not very cooperative or nice to them. Many of the girls thought I was stuck up and better than them. I may as well admit my guilt and take my chances.
